We recently connected with Aaron Louis and have shared our conversation below.
Aaron, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my father. Growing up he worked bell to bell just to make sure we had everything we needed. He showed me what it meant to fail and not give. How failure is an opportunity for growth. To never feel bad for myself and appreciate each experience.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I run a community that supports shelter dogs, rescues and community. We have classes, workshops and more that help humans connect with their dogs. I bring together dog professionals to help support community. I volunteer my time to local shelters and rescues to help get their dogs adopted. We also host classes for volunteers and staff at the local shelters. We have variety of dog trainers that specialize in different things to help support humans and dogs.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My leadership qualities were always something I leaned into. I truly enjoyed being of service to others. Being a leader means you are willing to be whatever your community needs. I’ve always loved dogs since I was a child and it all just came together. My desire to learn more is my biggest qualify. I’m a forever student. Advice I would give for people early in their journey would be don’t let the opinion of others in your life hold you back from pursuing something meaningful to you.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
My biggest area of growth in the last year has been finding balance. Sometimes when you are really passionate about something you can experience burn out. And it’s all over before it even started. I had to learn to set boundaries and realize I wasn’t a superhero. I’m just a human who cares deeply for what they do.
