Abdellah , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

Resilience comes from a mix of personal experiences, support systems, and inner strength. Life’s challenges often teach us valuable lessons and help us grow stronger. For me, it’s a combination of facing difficulties head-on, learning from past experiences, and drawing inspiration from the people around me.

My name is Abdellah The Ownerof ZOOMS PHOTOGRAPHY LLC

and I’m a photographer based in the vibrant city of Marrakesh. Photography is not just my profession; it’s my passion and my way of telling stories. Marrakesh, with its rich history, culture, and striking landscapes, serves as a constant source of inspiration. Through my lens, I aim to capture not only the beauty of this city but also the stories of the people who live here and the energy that makes Marrakesh so unique.

What excites me most about photography is its ability to freeze moments in time, turning everyday scenes into powerful images that evoke emotion and spark imagination. My work is not just about taking pictures—it’s about creating art that reflects the essence of the subject, whether that’s a person, a place, or an event.

Currently, I’m focusing on expanding my portfolio and working on several exciting new projects. This includes a series that captures the lesser-seen parts of Marrakesh, focusing on the people and places that tourists often miss but are key to the soul of the city. I’m also planning a photography exhibition later this year, where I’ll showcase some of my most recent work.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. Creativity and Artistic Vision

As a photographer, one of the most essential qualities I bring is creativity. Photography is an art form, and each image is an opportunity to express a unique vision. I strive to see the world differently, to find beauty in unexpected places, and to capture moments that tell compelling stories. My artistic vision allows me to create images that resonate emotionally with viewers.

2. Technical Expertise

While creativity is vital, it must be paired with technical expertise to bring ideas to life. Understanding the intricacies of camera settings, lighting, composition, and post-processing is crucial in delivering high-quality images. Over the years, I’ve honed these technical skills to ensure that every shot I take is both artistically and technically strong. This knowledge helps me adapt to various environments, whether I’m shooting in natural light, indoors, or during challenging conditions.

3. Cultural Awareness and Connection

Being based in Marrakesh, a city known for its rich culture and history, cultural awareness is a key aspect of my work. I believe that photography should reflect not just the surface, but the deeper essence of a place or person. To do this, I immerse myself in the local culture, learning about the traditions, people, and stories that make Marrakesh special. This connection allows me to capture images that are more than just visually appealing—they are authentic representations of the city and its people.
