Abeer , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
From being beat down in every way imaginable. I had to fight for me and teach myself how to set boundaries so others don’t continue to steal my confidence and self esteem.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I make Feet Fancy, I’ve been able to build an entire business around Feet with the perfect piece of Jewerly: The Fancy Feet Co. Fitted Toe Ring. I am also reinventing how people purchase their everyday Jewelry with my Monthly Jewelry Subscription.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My absolute best quality is I never give up no matter how many times I fall and no matter how hard, I keep going. I celebrate my smallest victories and recognize my biggest failures. This is a great quality in business. Your greatest asset is developing your sense to recognize opportunity early in life. Know yourself, become aware of who you are and then when you are presented with the opportunity, you will act in your favor.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
Me, I finally feel whole after life’s harsh realities taught me to build the skills I have to survive.
