Meet Abigail Ann

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Abigail Ann. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Abigail, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I find my purpose through my faith. Being confident in what I believe in and finding my identity in something higher than myself motivates me to work hard for what I’m passionate about.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m a college student studying Parks and Recreation as well as a content creator and social media consultant. I’ve been working with brands and influencers for nearly six years as a social media manager and copywriter. In the past year I’ve transitioned to creating content primarily for my personal social platforms and am currently developing an online course about social media strategy and optimization.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Many of the people in my life who have impacted me in some way have qualities that I admire. Compassion, generosity, and determination are things I honor them for. I think that you can be a successful leader in any industry or field that you are in, as long as you possess these qualities.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
Something I’ve been challenging myself to do when I get overwhelmed is to take a break away from my work. It may seem counterproductive at first, but I find that when I walk away from what I’m doing – even just for a short amount of time – can give me a fresh perspective. Often I go on a walk or try to spend time outside. It’s like a refresh for my mind and relieves the stress caused by being overwhelmed or burnt out.
