Meet Abigail Favreau

We recently connected with Abigail Favreau and have shared our conversation below.

Abigail , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I would have to say my work ethic comes from my parents — and, to some extent, from my children. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the struggles and sacrifices my parents made to make ends meet. Both my mom and dad worked in custodial services, and one day, they decided to take the experience they had gained over the years and start their own company.

They worked tirelessly and leaned on each other through every challenge. What began as a small business with just three employees — my mom, dad, and me (I got to fill the mop buckets with water!) — eventually grew into a company with over 300 employees.

Seeing their sweat and tears turn into success inspired me to follow in their footsteps and to be a role model for my own children. I realized that the values my parents passed down to me were truly priceless — they taught me the art of hard work, perseverance, and gratitude. Today, I do my best to pass that same lesson on to my children, hoping they, too, will learn to work hard and never give up.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Our signature bell tents and curated décor bring comfort, style, and a touch of charm to every celebration.

This season, along with our re-branding we’re expanding our collection to include up to 20 bell tents, allowing us to host larger glamping villages and multi-tent experiences that turn any space into a one-of-a-kind escape.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, I’d say the three most important qualities in my journey have been. Creativity, determination and heart

Creativity has always been the heart of Las Casitas seeing beauty in simple spaces and imagining how to transform them into something special. Each Bell tent “casita” is designed specially for our glamping guest bringing the most of their favorite things. Connecting with clients, collaborartors and our community is everything. People remember how you made them feel. We build genuine relationships and turn one time events into long term friendships. Lastly, heart this reminds me why I started Las Casitas to create moments that will make people feel special buy given them a unique and memorable experience. We put a lot of heart and love into every elelment of our tents.

My advise: Always put people first your clients, your team, and the community that supports you. When you genuinely care about others, everything you create carries that same energy. Love what you do, stay true to your vision, and let passion guide the way that’s where the magic happens.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
One book that has deeply influenced my journey is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It’s a story about following your dreams, trusting the process, and recognizing that every challenge has purpose.

The most impactful lesson for me was the idea that your “personal legend” your true calling often unfolds through faith, persistence, and the courage to listen to your heart. It reminded me that detours aren’t delays; they’re redirections toward something meant for you.

In both business and life, The Alchemist taught me to stay grounded in purpose, to find meaning in the journey, and to keep believing even when the path isn’t clear or there is doubt.
