We recently connected with Abraham De La Cruz and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Abraham with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
Growing up I saw my mom work a lot, through sickness, exhaustion and she always found a way to make a way. I got my work ethic by observing her do her thing.
The first chance I got to be able to get a job, that’s the first thing i did was non stop work.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
After 14 years in a job that left me drained, I finally took the leap to fulfill a dream I’ve nurtured since high school—running my own business. In 2022, I launched Deuce Delacruz LLC, a graphic design agency built on the belief that branding should be accessible and affordable for everyone. My mission is to empower small businesses, helping them bring their visions to life without breaking the bank.
Looking ahead to 2025, I’m excited to start teaching others who share a passion for creativity—whether it’s in design, illustration, or artistry. As a dad, I find endless motivation in watching my son embrace his creativity and passion for drawing. There’s nothing like the feeling of teaching him new techniques and seeing him grow, especially knowing he dreams of one day joining me in our future warehouse.
My ultimate goal is to expand into a one-stop shop, handling everything from design to manufacturing and distribution of products we’ve created from scratch. Being part of someone’s journey from a mere idea to a tangible product is what drives me—and it’s what Deuce Delacruz LLC is all about

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities I’ve honed in life are consistency, perseverance, and an unwavering ‘no-quit’ attitude. These aren’t always easy to master—I’ve faced my own challenges with them—but I believe they’re essential. My journey started at age five when I first picked up a crayon. Since then, I’ve been refining my skills, and now, I’m fortunate to be in a career where I get paid to draw and color. That realization fueled my confidence, driving me to keep moving forward and to approach every challenge as an opportunity to learn, grow, and improve, no matter the circumstance.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
In the past 12 months, my focus has been on spiritual growth and maintaining mental health. I believe strongly in nurturing your mind and striving to be a good person in this chaotic world. Moving forward, I want to improve my physical health and get in the best shape of my life. By doing so, I aim to be a better husband, father, brother, and man.
