Meet Abriana Terrell

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Abriana Terrell. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Abriana below.

Abriana, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?
I practice meditation, yoga, prayer daily, journal, spend time in nature, positive affirmations, and get massages. I am very kind to myself instead of being so hard on myself. My self care has improved my self love and self confidence over time. I am in love with who I am and I strive to be a better version of myself everyday.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I founded nonprofit organization YOUtopian Estates. We house and service the homeless community. I took a huge leap of faith and quit my day job in 2022 to focus on building something that makes me happy and it glorifies God as well. We are in fundraising phase, as we will build a campus from the ground up that will house 400 to 600 individuals of the homeless community at a time. YOUtopian Estates will also build other community housing as well over the years to help combat homelessness and add to housing availability for the population. We are looking for major donors, sponsors, partners, and volunteers.
I have other businesses as well such as a traveling company I am starting up too. Anything created by me will promote peace, overall wellness, and growth for Individuals to prosper.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
(1) reading is fundamental. It is so inspiring to read self development books. I love gaining a better perspective on life and it lights my soul on fire. (2) Sorrounding yourself with people who support you. Not everyone supported and believed in me and there are some who still doubt. That is okay. Prove to you that you can do it. No one else’s opinion matters when it comes to your journey. God gave you a vision not everyone can see. (3) Relax! Yes manifest and take action towards it, but always relax knowing you have won already! Believe you have succeeded and achieved your wildest dreams, embody that energy and it comes effortlessly.

If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
Ensuring that I let go of what and who is no longer serving me on my journey. Mastering detachment is important. Not everyone or everything is meant to elevate with you to your next step. Some things must go. Some people must go and that is okay. I truly have a deep love for people so letting go after their season is up can be a bit sad sometimes but God always makes room to replace with better. Do not block blessings by standing in your own way.
