We recently connected with Ace Doligosa and have shared our conversation below.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Ace has an extensive background in media and entertainment business development, thought leadership, social media influencing, and activism. Her wide demographic of followers range from age 18-65.
Ace has developed a thorough understanding of the media and industry by working at Comcast NBC Universal, iHeartRadio, Sirius XM, CAA, E! Network, and with prominent political figures in the city of West Hollywood.
She co-founded a national public health initiative to combat systemic racism in media and entertainment and played a pivotal role in the Stop Asian Hate movement in the U.S.
In 2021, Ace was recognized as one of the most influential Filipino Americans in Arts & Entertainment by the Philippine Ambassador to the U.S., and she continues to inspire and lead in her field.
As an Influencer, Author, Entrepreneur and Activist, Ace is currently focused on partnering with mission based brands and organizations. Ace is also a trained dancer, singer and has extensive experience in modeling, hosting, and working as on-screen talent. She is currently partnered with the Teen Suicide Prevention Society on the Touched and Empowered Podcast to help raise funding for suicide prevention efforts in the United States.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back, the three basic skills that I found to be most useful is the ability to decide quickly, sagacity, and effective communication.
Being decisive and quickly decisive helps to take action quickly. As someone starting out on your own journey it’s important to be decisive. There is a lot of uncertainty towards your dreams but your own decisiveness can help you navigate through the marshes faster.
Sagacity is incredibly important. As you work with others, understanding the people that you work with goes a long way. It’s important to know if you have alligned values as you collaborate, otherwise your projects will go nowhere. The aim is to build towards a product or service that is complete to share with others.
Effective communication is essential in any endeavor and can lead to swifter and more productive success.
