Meet Adam Kalish

We were lucky to catch up with Adam Kalish recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Adam with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

Both of my parents. Both of my parents were lower middle class growing up in Brooklyn. They worked hard to move up and from a very early age instilled in me to work hard in school and sports.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a transactional and litigation attorney with substantial experience closing major transactions and arguing before Judges. My primary areas of practice include: Residential & Commercial Real Estate Transactions, Commercial Litigation, and Regulatory Compliance.
Prior to founding my Law Firm, I was Special Counsel to the New York State Senate Finance Committee, where I worked on multiple legislative bills affecting consumer business regulation and real estate matters. I am very well-versed in the government regulations people encounter each day.
Since founding the Law Firm, I have become counsel to many businesses; providing advice, representation and counsel regarding incorporations, mergers and acquisitions, transactions, contracts, policy reviews, succession, and litigation. I provide my clients with the full spectrum of litigation services: including trials and administrative hearings.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Public speaking, quick thinking on my feet, and communicating clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. Work on your public speaking in front of a mirror.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

Learning to turn away business that will not be both financially and intellectually worth my time.
