Meet Adam Lillhannus

We were lucky to catch up with Adam Lillhannus recently and have shared our conversation below.

Adam, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

The world has changed over the last few decades. Digital interaction has become more and more an integral part of our lives, with most humans being connected up to the internet through computers and cellular devices around the clock.
Today, most people own a smartphone, and through a smartphone very many tasks can be completed. People barely buy clocks, calculators, cameras or other electronic devices nowadays, thanks to the continual development of technology.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT made its debut to the world at the end of 2022, effectively changing the AI-terrain and usage around the globe. Working in marketing and in the digital space, once can see that automations and artificial intelligence is taking on more and more of our workaday jobs.

It is debatable if AI will ever fully replace human jobs. Personally I don’t think so, but yet again, less and less technical staff could be considered necessary, as the current AI models keep developing, learning and evolve.

Being a full-time paid employee working in Tech, while at the same time raising a family and coping with the current economic distress faced by many across the U.S., it was about time to venture into entrepreneurship by opening up our own side family company.

The bottom line being this – food is not going anywhere, any time soon. The people of Earth will continue to indulge in pleasure and delicacies for many years to come. So why not jump on the bandwagon and bring in debatably some of the best candy ever to the consumers of the United States?

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I grew up in Stockholm, Sweden and relocated to the U.S. at the age of 15. Having been raised with Swedish culture, it was hard to let go of the very best traditions and cultural aspects as I changed my residency to the USA.

Amongst many things, food and sweets have never even stood a chance of comparison between Sweden and the U.S. It was factually difficult to adjust and acclimate to the difference in food quality, ingredients and fulfillment when coming here.

Europe places a high emphasis on quality, with natural ingredients, naturally sourced food dyes and coloring, plus condiments and recipes that somehow never made it across the great pond.

To be quite blunt, comparing Swedish candy to American candy is a joke, as they don’t even belong in the same league.

Thus I and my family took it upon ourselves to make a difference, by helping in revolutionizing the candy industry of America, by introducing more and more consumers to real candy.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Interestingly enough, having a background in marketing made all the difference in getting our shop and brand publicly visible, through Search Engines, Website building and Social Media.

There are simple yet powerful tools and steps in SEO that will make or break your digital visibility. So having implemented those steps right off the bat, we had customers finding us and reaching out within days of us making our shop visible online.

Getting a basic course in web development, SEO, Ads or Social Media is money well spent. If not, at least hire a good friend to help you do the work for you!

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

Organizing things while we continue to grow and expand is a never-ending “challenge accepted” sort of issue.

Learning the legal front of what is all right and what is a no-no in our actions, outreach and creations is also a continuing point to take into account.

At times we face obstacles on our online platforms. But we keep overcoming these issues, with never-ending expansion and growth of our business.
