Meet Adam Martinez

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Adam Martinez. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Adam below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Adam with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I would say my work ethic comes from a blend of my grandpa’s teachings on hard work and perseverance, along with my mom’s emphasis on punctuality and embracing challenges for personal growth.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m Adam Martinez, the owner of Visual Cache LLC, a video production company located in Downtown San Diego. I primarily work with small businesses, non-profits, and individual professionals. I’ve always been fascinated by the art of storytelling through film and video. At the moment, I’m freelancing as a camera operator and shading technician for various AV companies across Southern California.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

I’ve always had a strong drive to create. Over the years, I’ve gained a solid understanding of both the Pre- and Post-Production processes.

Those at the beginning of their journey, regardless of the path they’re on, should focus on staying inspired and trusting the creative process. Building a network is crucial; surrounding yourself with the right people is essential.

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?

I believe it’s essential to fully invest in your strengths while also recognizing the value of personal growth. By immersing yourself in the creative process, you’ll discover areas that need improvement. It’s important to maintain honesty with yourself about where you can develop further.
