Meet Adilene Sanchez

We were lucky to catch up with Adilene Sanchez recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Adilene , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

As an immigrant, I have faced significant challenges from the outset. My parents began their journey with very limited resources, starting with nothing more than a mattress on the floor, no air conditioning, and minimal access to food. However, their unwavering determination ensured that we would succeed. Witnessing their perseverance and the countless obstacles they overcame to ultimately provide me with a debt-free college education instilled in me the belief that few barriers could impede my path to success.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I am a Texas Ex, a mom of two, a wife, and business woman. My primary focus is to create a scaleable business and generate employment for those that surround me. To build a sense of community where working moms in the industry can come together and help each other through the struggles. Lux events specializes in unique concepts and bringing innovative ideas to the area. Lux events started with an inflatable club service that is still popular to this day! There is a lot coming to Lux in 2026! Keep an eye out for a second location!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

The qualities that make me who I am today is that I am open to change, I am willing to take risk, and I am not afraid to invest in myself. For someone who is starting in their journey I would suggest to take a breath and not rush. Risks are good, but they need to be calculated. Believe in yourself because the sky is limit!

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

When I feel overwhelmed I remind myself that nothing in this life is permanent except death. The only thing that you can count on is change. I am okay with giving up for the day because I know that after some rest my mind will be in a different state. It really does help to just take a moment to take some deep breaths and be present in the moment even if you are just sitting in your car.
