Meet Adrian Paul

We were lucky to catch up with Adrian Paul recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Adrian Paul with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
Growing up I saw how hard my mom worked. And I saw her work ethic, & it really drove me. My mom really inspired me and still inspires me today. I think it’s easy to make running a business look like it’s rainbows and butterflies on social media, but you have to work really hard. It could look really easy to jump into but that’s not the truth. So much hard work needs to be done behind the scenes. I also believe that you have to be authentic in everything you do.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hi I’m Adrian Paul, owner and founder of Pride Beauty. We are a LGBTQ Latinx owned and operated small business. It started out of my love for makeup. I love what I do, and I love creating products that can help people express themselves & help them feel even more beautiful. I have used these products every time I do my makeup since I’ve received my samples, and they are a staple in my routine. I just launched “The Must-Have Eyeshadow Palette” Our 9 pan, eyeshadow palette has a buttery texture that allows for a smooth application. The shades complement each other for easy natural or smokey eye looks. It really is perfect for your everyday eyeshadow palette.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Passion. Authenticity. Once you find what makes you happy that’s all fuel you need.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
Allowed me to dream big. And I am so blessed they did. I have achieved my goals by constantly pushing myself. The sky is the limit. All you have to do is believe in yourself and take the first step.
