Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Adrianne Collins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Adrianne , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

It stemmed from a passion to create a platform that showcases the skills imparted by public school educators to students, both before, during and after the challenges faced under emergency management in 2009 – 2016 within the Detroit Public Schools.

Nonetheless, with a burning desire to stand on Scripture, I took on a personal challenge, Scripture, Habakkuk 2:2, “Write the vision and make it clear Tho it may tarry it shall not be late.” I interrupted this Scripture to be an act of obedience to God’s word to praise Him by writing positively about people only in a good manner unlike sensationalized news – “If it bleeds it leads!” He (God Almighty) wanted us to write about “Meaning Making News” (good news and information only). A new concept or style of writing and reporting good news developed within the private Christian University environment.

For well over a decade we have faced challenges since most people are unfamiliar with the concept. However, fate created the good news concept we adopted the concept and Detroit Entertainers & Musicians News has become Detroit’s premier meaning making news publication and training ground.
