We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Aerros Aluise. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Aerros below.
Aerros, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
My father was out of the picture when I was a child. And my mother did what she could until I was about 8 or 9 when the addictions took over her life. At that point I started to live with any family member that would care for me. At times I stayed at churches boys homes along with juvenile detention. The only thing I knew is I wanted better for myself. having easy access to pens or pencils I found my self always drawing and burying my self in artwork to occupy my time.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Everyday I wake up and get the opportunity to do what I love, creating art and making people smile. I’ve been tattooing for 15 years now. I’ve met and established relationships with so many people. When I started this career I wanted to try every style so I can help anyone who came to me. throughout my career I’ve been able to provide a happiness with my artwork from covering up some existing artwork or tattooing fresh skin I’m happy for the opportunity. I pride myself on making people have a great experience through artwork and customer service I separate myself from the current industry standards. In the future I am looking into expanding my network. Working with non profits like the cvma and teaching courses like tattoo classes or painting classes
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The best advice I have is to listen watch and apply. I am self taught but along my career I payed close attention to anyone I found admirable I would watch what they did and asked questions I didn’t know the answers to and when given the chance I would apply those techniques. The world is filled with knowledge but if you think you know everything you will get stuck falling behind.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
I can’t say that one person is responsible I have found that through my life I have drifted from place to place and come to be beside so many that I’m thanks full for. anyone who I share my time with has taught me something. There was a time where I didn’t have home and the doors opened up to one. there was a moments where I didn’t know what I was going to eat and I was fed. coming from a broken home it’s hard to trust anybody. That made me cautious of anyone I let into my life for the fear of being hurt or let down but what it did do for me was made me value my time and focus on building myself I do value every bit of information. The good and the bad made me who I am
