Meet Ahmarhi Hubbard

We were lucky to catch up with Ahmarhi Hubbard recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Ahmarhi, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?

My confidence and self-esteem were not things I was born with, they were built through experience, pain, and perseverance. I faced many moments that tested my strength, from health challenges to personal struggles, but each obstacle became a lesson in resilience.

For a long time, I believed confidence meant appearing strong or having everything figured out. Over time, I learned that real confidence is quiet, it’s in how you keep showing up, even when you’re afraid, and how you choose to keep believing in yourself after being knocked down.

I built my confidence by giving myself permission to grow at my own pace and to embrace the parts of me that are gentle, caring, and determined. Those same qualities inspired me to create a platform centered on positivity and mental wellness. Through that process, I discovered that confidence isn’t about perfection, it’s about purpose.

Every time I stood back up, even when things felt impossible, I grew a little stronger. And that’s where my self-esteem truly began not from what others saw in me, but from what I finally started to see in myself.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My name is Ahmarhi Hubbard, and I’m the founder of IdolLink, a global platform built to bridge the gap between fans and idols through kindness, creativity, and community. IdolLink is more than an app, it’s a safe space where people can connect, learn languages, enjoy behind-the-scenes content, and interact in a positive, supportive environment.

The most exciting part of what I do is seeing how entertainment and empathy can come together to make real change. IdolLink was born from my own experiences, the highs and lows of being a fan, the passion for mental health, and the desire to create something that makes people feel seen, not judged. Every feature we build is designed with love, safety, and connection in mind.

What makes IdolLink special is its heart. We focus not only on global idols but also on the emotional wellbeing of both fans and artists. In a world where social media can be toxic, IdolLink stands for warmth, community, and belonging.

Right now, we’re expanding the platform, adding features like Language Bubble (where fans and idols learn languages together), Behind-the-Scenes Rooms, and the Global Fandom Awards, an event celebrating the love and creativity of fandom culture worldwide.

My mission is to show that business can have heart, that technology can heal as much as it connects. IdolLink isn’t just about fame; it’s about family, healing, and hope.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three qualities that have shaped my journey the most are resilience, empathy, and vision.

Resilience taught me how to stand tall through challenges, from personal hardships to the ups and downs of building a company from the ground up. There were many moments when it would’ve been easier to give up, but learning to rest instead of quit kept me moving forward. My advice: build resilience by finding meaning in your “why.” When your purpose is strong, your setbacks won’t break you.

Empathy is the soul of IdolLink. Understanding others, their emotions, fears, and hopes is what helped me create a platform that truly connects people. If you want to grow empathy, listen more than you speak. You’ll start to see the world through hearts, not just headlines.

Lastly, vision kept me focused when no one else could see what I saw. I learned that dreaming big is only the first step you have to believe in your dream loud enough that others start to hear it too.

For anyone starting out: protect your peace, stay teachable, and don’t let fear dim your light. Your story might just be the thing that inspires someone else to keep going.

What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?

I believe it’s best to go all in on your strengths, but stay aware of your weaknesses. Your strengths are where your purpose, passion, and natural gifts meet. When you focus on what you do best, you move with confidence and creativity, and that energy inspires others to do the same.

For me, my strength has always been connection, seeing people deeply and helping them feel safe and valued. That strength became the foundation for IdolLink. I didn’t try to be good at everything; instead, I surrounded myself with people who could fill in the gaps and believed in the vision with me.

Still, I’ve learned that being “aware” of your weak spots matters, not so you can fix them all, but so you can respect them, manage them, and grow alongside people who balance you out. In the end, our strengths open the doors, but teamwork and self-awareness help us walk through them
