Meet Ahoo Sarab

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ahoo Sarab. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Ahoo, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

My optimism comes from a mix of who I am, what I’ve lived through, and what I choose each day. I’ve learned that things usually work out, or at least, that I can handle them when they don’t. Yoga, reflection, and mindfulness have shaped how I see the world, teaching me to find meaning and connection even in challenge. I value growth and possibility, so I choose to look for the good. not because life is always easy, but because I believe in my own resilience and in what’s still possible.

I’ve lived enough years and experiences to know that things do always work out, even in the midst of chaos. When life feels heavy, I remind myself that on the other side of this, it will lighten and become easier. I use the hard times to find the lesson and the growth; that helps me stay a witness to what’s happening instead of getting pulled into the noise of the moment. It’s how I stay grounded.

When things feel tough, I run through my gratitude list in my head. Sometimes it’s as simple as the cup of coffee in front of me, or a memory with my kids. Another small practice I love is scrolling through my Instagram page; seeing photos of joyful moments instantly brings me back to gratitude and triggers those happy chemicals that remind me how much light there really is in my life.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m a yoga studio owner and teacher with a deep love for all styles and lineages of yoga, though I tend to teach Vinyasa most often. At our studios, we primarily offer hot yoga, along with workshops and special events that explore a variety of practices, from gentle flow to more intense sessions. My teaching blends alignment, breath, and mindfulness, with a focus on helping each student move toward balance, strength, and presence, on and off the mat.

One of my studios also houses a juice and smoothie bar, where we craft blends using tinctures, adaptogens, and medicinal herbs to support overall health and vitality. My passion for holistic wellness has led me to study herbalism, allowing me to bring even more knowledge and care to our community and guide clients toward being the healthiest version of themselves.

Earlier this year, I completed my certification in holotropic breathwork and have begun offering private sessions at the studio, helping individuals explore breath, release tension, and access deeper states of consciousness. Most recently, I took our yoga teacher training program fully online, creating an accessible path for students to immerse themselves in the study and practice of yoga from anywhere in the world.

Beyond teaching, I’m committed to cultivating a supportive, nurturing community where students feel seen, inspired, and empowered. I love experimenting with new approaches to wellness, whether through movement, mindful practices, or nutrition, and sharing those discoveries with my students. Yoga, breathwork, and holistic health aren’t just practices, they’re ways of living, and I feel grateful to guide others along their journeys of growth and self-discovery.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three qualities have been most impactful in my journey: fearlessness, trust in myself, and the ability to cancel out the noise of others while staying connected to my “why.” Fearlessness has allowed me to take risks, try new things, and step into opportunities that felt uncertain but ultimately transformative. Trusting myself has been essential. I’ve learned to rely on my intuition and inner guidance, especially when decisions feel difficult or unconventional. And canceling out the noise of others has helped me stay focused on what truly matters, rather than getting distracted by external opinions or comparisons.

For anyone early in their journey, my advice is to cultivate these qualities intentionally. Be willing to take small, brave steps outside your comfort zone, and notice how each experience teaches you resilience. Practice listening to your inner voice and honoring your intuition, even when it goes against what others expect. And always reconnect to your “why”, the purpose that drives you, because it will guide you through challenges and help you stay grounded amid distractions. These practices aren’t about perfection, but about building trust in yourself and your path over time.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

The number one challenge I’m currently facing is renting my studio space. I love the energy and community we’ve built, but continuing to rent sometimes makes me feel trapped, like growth is limited. Ideally, I would love to purchase a building of our own, but finding the right space has been a challenge. To work toward this goal, I’m actively exploring potential properties, researching financing options, and connecting with people in the community who can offer guidance. In the meantime, I’m focusing on maximizing the space we have, cultivating our community, and staying open to creative solutions that could help us eventually make the leap into ownership.
