Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to AINA. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi AINA, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from my story. Everyone has a story, I’m no exception. The challenges and experiences in mine have taught me to keep going no matter what, and they’ve shaped not just who I am as a person, but also the way I express myself through music.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a singer-songwriter and producer. My music moves between pop, emotional ballads, and electronic dance tracks. I love the freedom of not being confined to just one sound. What makes my work special is that I’m very hands-on: I write, produce, perform, and even design my own cover art, film, and edit my music videos. Every project is a personal expression.
Right now, I’m really focused on sharing my songs with as many people as possible and building a community around my music. I just released Dying to See You (DTSY), and I have new music coming this fall and winter, with releases lined up for September, October, November, and December. Every release feels like a new chapter, and I’m excited to keep evolving as an artist while staying true to my voice.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I’d say the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are curiosity, persistence, and self-motivation. I have a constant craving for learning, I’m always eager to explore new skills, which has helped me teach myself music production, video editing, and everything in between. Persistence has kept me going through challenges and setbacks, reminding me that growth happens when you show up consistently, even on the tough days. And self-motivation — the ability to set my own goals, create deadlines, and see them through without anyone pushing me — has been key to turning ideas into reality and staying true to my vision.
We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?
I think it’s important to really lean into your strengths, but also not be afraid to work on areas you’re less confident in. For me, focusing on my strength – songwriting has been what sets my work apart. At the same time, I’ve challenged myself to learn things I didn’t know, like producing, because those skills give me more control over my art and help me bring my vision to life. My advice is to know what you’re naturally good at and invest in it, but also stay curious and willing to grow.
