Meet Aisha Frazier

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Aisha Frazier. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Aisha, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
What keeps my creativity alive is visualization. Sight and touch is my strongest instinct when it comes to my creations. Color and textures inspire me to create new things.

Growing up, I have always loved creating things from drawing to sewing. I love working with my hands it makes me HAPPY. Being creative keeps me sane, when I am stressed I create. I love to do so many things, sewing, making jewelry, coloring, and puzzles but my favorite and most joyous is CROCHETING.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about business?
My Name is Aisha, I am the Designer/Owner of CREATTIE-ANN DESIGNS a small business that was formed out of my passion for crocheting. What started as a humble hobby is now a collection of uniquely hand-crafted swimwear, beach & resort wear products, along with a variety of handmade jewelry that is all made with passion & love.

When designing my collections, it’s important for me to use all-natural fibers; my favorite is cotton threads/yarns because they work best in water and are the easiest to care for. All of my creations are handmade and it’s always been a goal of mine to design high-quality one-of-a-kind items. I also enjoy incorporating a multitude of colors, hues, and textures into my designs.

The vision of my collections is inclusive with a focus on women of all shapes, sizes, and colors, to wear uniquely made pieces that’ll make them feel sexy, beautiful, and confident. Because I cater to women of all sizes, many of my pieces are tailored based on individual requests.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three important things I have learned in my lifetime.

1). Stay true to yourself. I live my life trying and always improving and being honest with myself and everyone who comes in contact with me.

2). Set Goals with intention for myself. I learned that if I set goals and accomplish them I am living for a purpose and not just being here.

3). Be Grateful. A lot happens in life that isn’t fair but I have learned that being GRATEFUL for the good in my life brings more GOOD.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
My Family is my most helpful, I have a small circle but that circle is powerful. My family supports and helps me.

Over the years, I’ve come to realize crocheting is more than just a hobby. It’s a skill that has taught me patience and humility, it brings me solace and allows my mind to venture into the realm of creativity to produce great products. Because of this, I am eternally grateful to my mother for teaching me at such an early age and my family who supported me along my journey.
