Meet Aisha McNeal

We were lucky to catch up with Aisha McNeal recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Aisha , thank you for joining us today and sharing your experiences and acquired wisdom with us. Burnout is a huge topic these days and so we’d love to kick things off by discussing your thoughts on overcoming or avoiding burnout
I avoid burnout by taking at least one day off a week and using my schedule not to overbook myself. I used to try and do every order that came my way, now I have a limit on how many orders I take a day.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Hello! I’m Aisha McNeal and I own a sweet treats boutique named Eden l’s Creations. Specializing in chocolate covered treats and custom homemade cupcakes and cakes. You can view my treats on my website www.edencreations.llc!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
There are many areas of knowledge that have been impactful through these 8 years! The three that have stood out the most are: Number 1-Never overbook yourself.
Number 2-Take constructive criticism without making it personal.
Number 3-You can do it alone, but things run smoother when you have help! When somebody is willing to help you succeed give them a chance to help you.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
I have a mentor, one that really wants to see my succeed and I appreciate that. She is a staple in my business and teaches ne so many things! Love her!
