Meet Aishia Deal

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Aishia Deal. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Aishia, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
My self-esteem was a work in progress, no matter how many times I heard people say “Aishia you’re beautiful” or “Aishia you’re so smart” it was in one ear and out the other because I didn’t feel that way about myself.

However, when I’m dead and gone I hope it’s how I made people feel that leaves the impact.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m passionate about helping people heal. I have a domestic violence resource center A Safe Space For Grace where I help victims navigate the court space, social services, work with school districts, go into the classrooms and teach Health vs Unhealthy Relationship Workshops.

It’s important to plant seeds of communication, trust and understanding.

Love is lacking these days and if we can just be still long enough, hear each other out longer enough and have patience long enough there might be room to grow.

There’s so to be said about qualities and depth compassion and communication we need all of it in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive and most times not just romantic relationships but day to day environment as well.

So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

#1 The 3 qualities & skills abilities to put myself in someone else’s shoes, my effective communication and patience, I listen before I reply. I’m a space place.

#2  I know how to lighten up conversation with humor, sometimes you need to laugh.

#3 I’ll hold your hand through it all.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
The person who’s been most helpful in helping me overcome challenges, build and develop the essential skills, qualities needed to be successful, to be honest silence and spirituality.

Sometimes it’s best to be still. I’m big on spirituality, I quite everything and everyone around me.. I pray, meditate and focus on the needs and wants of my heart. Also forgiveness, you can’t grow with
unforgiveness in your heart.
