We recently connected with Akmal Rakhimov and have shared our conversation below.
Akmal, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?
Since I was young I always believed in balance. There is a perfect balance to everything beyond human-made. My self-care starts with understanding the importance of listening to your body and doing what you truly enjoy.
My daily routine for self-care involves doing breath-work, meditation, EFT Tapping ( Emotional Freedom Techniques), going to the gym and eating balanced diet. I do drink wine and eat pizza occasionally, which is also part of finding balance.
Beyond staying physically in shape and having balanced diet it is very important to recognize how we think and talk to ourselves. Self-love is the biggest self-care. Self-judgement and hate will destroy even the strongest body. Find time to do what you love.
These routines don’t only support my artistic work and growth, but I genuinely enjoy them. I find flow, joy and structure that supports the evolution not just of myself as an artist, but also a person.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am an actor and model. I studied Russian theatre and drama for six years, and I speak and perform in three different languages. I’ve been performing professionally on stage and screen for the last 15 years internationally. Acting gives me a great opportunity to express myself freely beyond any external limitations. It is a perfect doorway to artistic flow where one can lose oneself in the world of different characters and circumstances. Currently, I am taking acting classes in order to deepen my craft and widen my perspective on this infinite knowledge of intuition, freedom and self-trust.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Stay open minded to expanding your craft. Believe in yourself enough that every challenge, judgement and rejection becomes a learning process. Slow down. There is no reason to rush through life to get what you want – everything will come at the perfect time. Accept where you are and drop the resistance. But also, take daily actions to go after your dreams. Balance :).

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
One of the biggest growth edges I’ve overcome and achieved this year is learning how to give myself permission to feel my emotions, celebrate small victories, and letting go of past identities that don’t serve my growth.

so if you or someone you know deserves recognition please let us know here.
