We were lucky to catch up with Alain Martínez Machado recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Alain , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I would say that the development of self-esteem goes hand in hand with your work and professional growth, that work fulfillment helps a lot to how you face future problems. In recent years, many people have developed self-esteem problems, and it is due to the vulnerability that is created both on social networks and in life in general. In my particular case, I have a very important mantra that helps me feel good every time I think I’m not. I developed a defense mechanism against any insult or aggression on social networks. Every day I work a lot in myself, I train, I read, I practice sports; all those activities help to socialize and develop a personality base, your personality defines who you are, and defines what hurts you and what doesn’t.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I have had a slow but constant evolution on my social networks. I consider myself a very constant person when it comes to creating content and displaying it on social networks. I really like photography, and I usually upload content to social networks about “lifestyle”, I consider myself a person who loves living life, and my philosophy of life is “Dolce Far Niente” a phrase in Italian which means: enjoy doing nothing. Soon I have a couple of virtual events about learning how to develop your personality and consolidate the foundations of your happiness. I have collaborated with other local magazines, such as Voyage Michigan and Canvas Rebel, in which I have also told part of my experience on social networks.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
From my point of view, the most important thing to start developing your business, or start with social networks as a job, is trust, having fresh and original ideas and perseverance. I think the latter is the most important of all, for any goal you start in your life, you have to be constant. I think that’s the most important weapon for the development of a successful life
