We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Albert Greene. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Albert below.
Hi Albert, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Vision To Reality a mission-driven energy—balancing artistry with execution. Every production, project, or pitch comes with grit, late nights, and the vision to turn ideas into impact.
This work ethic is about more than hustle—it’s about honor, legacy, and purpose.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
At my core, I’m a storyteller. Whether it’s through film, music, or community-focused initiatives, everything I do is about giving voice to experiences that are often overlooked or misrepresented.
I’m the founder of TH3RD i MULTIMEDIA, a TV & film production and distribution company built on the idea of transforming “vision to reality.” We specialize in telling bold, authentic stories—from web series and feature films to music videos and branded content. What sets us apart is our commitment to truth and texture. Every project is rooted in raw honesty, creative freedom, and a deep respect for the culture.
Beyond the screen, I’m also the creative force behind King Doobie, my music persona where I fuse hip-hop, soul, and storytelling to speak on personal growth, fatherhood, mental health, and the realities of love and loss.
In addition to that, I run Innovation Through Arts & Education (ITAE), a nonprofit focused on equipping underserved youth with the tools to express themselves through music, film, and emotional intelligence.
Right now, we’re expanding in a big way. We have several projects in the pipeline:
• “Offline Connections” – a new web series exploring human relationships in the digital age.
• “Who Are You” – an interview-based show spotlighting professionals and creatives behind the scenes.
• A new concept album written for my kids—honest, heartfelt hip-hop that turns pain into purpose.
• And multiple short films and features in development and pre-production.
What excites me most is the ability to build platforms—not just for myself, but for other creatives, collaborators, and communities who deserve to be seen and heard.
TH3RD i MULTIMEDIA isn’t just a brand—it’s a movement.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three key qualities shaped my journey more than anything:
1. Discipline from my mother and father and other blood relatives in my family.
I learned discipline early—from my time in the military to the late nights spent editing footage or writing bars when nobody was watching. Discipline isn’t about motivation—it’s about doing the work when you don’t feel like it. If you’re just starting out, set real deadlines for yourself and stick to them, even when no one is holding you accountable. That’s how you separate a dreamer from a doer.
2. Adaptability the creative world changes fast. One day you’re directing a music video, the next you’re building a pitch deck for investors. I had to learn how to wear different hats—producer, marketer, writer, business owner. If you stay stuck in one mindset or lane, you’ll get left behind. My advice: stay curious, and be willing to learn skills that make you more self-sufficient. You don’t need to master everything, but you should understand the game you’re playing.
3. Emotional Intelligence whether it’s managing a crew, collaborating with artists, or just leading yourself through tough seasons—you have to be aware of how you show up in the world. Learning how to communicate, listen, and regulate your emotions has helped me build lasting relationships and keep the bigger picture in view. For newcomers: heal first, hustle second. The industry can test you—make sure you know who you are before you try to tell stories about someone else.
At the end of the day, your skillset is only half the battle. The other half is mindset, character, and consistency.
Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman:
⸻
One of the most impactful books in my personal and professional development has been Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman. It completely shifted how I approached leadership, creativity, conflict, and even fatherhood.
Before reading it, I thought success was mainly about talent, drive, and execution. But Goleman’s work opened my eyes to something deeper: self-awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation are just as important—if not more—than raw skill. Especially in creative industries where emotions run high and egos are often louder than the work, learning how to manage yourself and your reactions is a game-changer.
A few powerful lessons from the book that stuck with me:
1. “IQ might get you hired, but EQ determines how far you go.”
This reminded me that emotional maturity impacts relationships, collaboration, and leadership far more than technical knowledge alone.
2. Self-awareness is power.
Goleman talks about the importance of recognizing your own emotional patterns. That lesson helped me pause before reacting—whether it’s on set, in business meetings, or in my personal life. It’s kept me from burning bridges and helped me lead with intention.
3. Empathy is not weakness—it’s wisdom.
As a filmmaker and musician, being able to understand other people’s perspectives is how I build real characters, tell honest stories, and create art that resonates. That’s all rooted in emotional intelligence.
For anyone trying to grow as a leader, artist, parent, or just a better version of themselves—this book is a must-read. It helped me realize that managing emotions isn’t about suppressing them. It’s about understanding them, so they serve your purpose—not sabotage it.
