Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Aldo Uribe. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Aldo, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Wow. Purpose.
That feels like such a loaded word. It’s not every day that you have to sit down and try to define what purpose means to you but it is one of those things you need to dedicate time to, in order to solidify it for yourself. Like most things, I feel like I have to separate wants from needs.
Finding my purpose as an artist is much different from finding my purpose as a human being. That’s not to say there aren’t similarities, but I think it’s healthy to focus first on the human aspect before stepping out into the world and trying to accomplish anything else.
I remember having a meeting a few years ago and someone asked me something along the lines of what I wanted. This subconscious sort of feeling came over me, and before I could analyze it, I blurted out:
“To give back more than I take.”
As a man in this world, I feel like there’s so much focus on what you can accomplish versus what you can provide. I find purpose and strength in being the man the people I love most need me to be.
My North Star will always be, honoring those before me, serving those who stand by me, and creating a path for those who come after me. If I can do that on a day to day, then I know I can carry that into my artistic journey.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Where do I start?
My name is Aldo Uribe, and I am an actor and creative producer amongst many other things. I feel like I’m in a really exciting time in my life because my pursuit as an artist feels like it’s finally coming to a head.
What I love about being an actor is that, while some people fear age and time passing by, I’ve come to see them as allies.
Right now, I feel like I’ve gained so much strength through my consistency—through my drive to learn and grow. I’m fortunate to be auditioning for great projects, and I have two personal projects in the works, including a feature film that I’m incredibly excited about. It’s ready to be pitched and shopped around.
I can’t say too much yet, but it’s a really fun Christmas film set in South Texas, centered around a wild Mexican-American family. To me, it feels like the modern American Christmas story the world needs right now.
All of this is feels like a compounding effect of years of fighting for what I want and staying committed to where I know I’m headed.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I mentioned before that I find strength in the years I’ve invested in my career. I still don’t have all the answers, but I’ve definitely learned a few things along the way.
My biggest piece of advice to anyone would be: LISTEN. I mean, really listen. Early on, most people have such a strong urge to take action that it’s easy to miss the importance of being present and aware in the moment. The universe will guide you—if you’re truly tuned in.
Once you’re genuinely listening, you can take more intentional action and develop better judgment about your next move.
My ultimate goal in anything I take on is to be a problem solver. Early in my career, it was easy to fall into the trap of trying to please others—giving people what I thought they wanted. But now, after all these years, I focus on understanding the real needs and coming to the table with solutions.
If I had to give one more piece of advice, it would be to focus on consistency. I think it goes hand-in-hand with listening. When you’re present and actively aware of your goals, consistency is what will carry you forward.
It might not provide the instant gratification that so many of us crave, but it is a pathway to something bigger.
Every year, I commit to consistently taking classes, creating new projects, and meeting new people. I can’t expect any one of those things to be the golden ticket but the compounding effect of my efforts is what’s leading me to my ultimate goal.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
As I step into a more developmental phase with film and other projects, I’m actively seeking collaborators who align with what I represent—both as a human being and as an artist.
Developing my first feature film has truly been a dream. Collaborating with the amazing writer and friend Raymond Arturo Perez, and the incredibly talented producer Joyce Liu Countryman, I’ve learned to lean on others’ expertise and have grown tremendously in the process.
Looking ahead, I’m searching for the right studio, streamer or producing partners who can recognize our collective talent and strengths, and help bring this project to screens around the world.
I’m so confident in this film that I believe it will open doors to create more stories that people can resonate with, feel seen, and create conversation through a laugh or a nice cry.
