Aleah , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
You know that feeling when you’re just chilling in your studio, painting away, and out of nowhere, this wild story pops into your head? Well, that’s how I stumbled upon my purpose.
I was in the zone, brush in hand, when this tale about a bunch of curious primates going on this epic adventure abroad during a massive flood suddenly flooded my imagination (pun intended).
It was like my creative light bulb flickered on, and I realized that storytelling was my jam.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hello readers, my name is Aleah Harris-Hosea, an artist from Montgomery, AL, currently living in Loma Linda, CA.
Recent exhibitions include the Ontario Festival of the Arts in California and a solo show at Wishbone Cafe in Montgomery AL.
I have customized shoes for Andy Jazzy and designed apparel for celebrities such as rapper Soulja Boy and R&B singer
Sammie.
Collectors of my portraits include R&B singer Lloyd, reality stars Hoopz and Jennifer Williams.
My work has been featured in Amazon news and can be found at J D High School in Alabama, the East Coast Bagel in Loma
Linda, CA, and in private collections worldwide.
My latest artistic adventure: Journey to the Ark: A Chimp’s Redemption Collection.
In this collection series, a diverse tribe of monkeys offer a fresh take on the well-known story of Noah’s Ark.
One day while painting in my studio, suddenly a story about an intriguing group of primates traveling abroad and witnessing
that great flood came pouring into my imagination!
Once I began bringing their tale to life with paint and canvas, I realized that I didn’t want to stop there.
I envision an animated movie, a coloring book and so much more. This collection of paintings was originally inspired by my
fascination with the timeless tale of Noah’s Ark. I envisioned exploring the story from the animals’ perspective, bringing
them to life through oil and acrylic paints.
As I began to create these characters, the story began to come alive on the canvas.
I plan to expand beyond paintings and bring these lively fellows to various other mediums, such as children’s books,
animation, and digital platforms for storytelling.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
In hindsight, I guess my familiarity with “The Bible,” yeah, the word of GOD, has played a real role in shaping my artistic journey.
It’s like this cool factor that’s helped me level up, you know? It’s given me this awesome purpose of bringing the word of God
to life through my art. Just taking those ancient stories and giving them a fresh, artsy spin.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
For sure, hands down, it’s been Jesus, the ultimate King of Kings, the Holy Spirit, and the Almighty GOD. They’ve been my
rock-solid crew, guiding me through challenges and helping me build up all the skills, qualities, and knowledge I needed to
find my groove and succeed. It’s like having the ultimate life coaches in my corner, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their
guidance and support.
