Meet Aleena Walters

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Aleena Walters a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Aleena, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?

My generosity comes from the people who raised me and surrounded me. I grew up watching my parents give so much of themselves — their time, their love, their effort — even when it wasn’t easy. They’ve always put out a lot for me, and seeing that level of selflessness taught me how powerful it is to show up for others.

My sister has also shaped me in her own way. Growing up with her taught me patience, sharing, and what it means to support someone unconditionally. And my friends… they’re like family too. We’ve been there for each other through everything, and those relationships taught me how important it is to love people loudly and freely.

So my generosity really comes from love — the love I grew up with, the love I’m surrounded by, and the love I want to give back. I’m generous because I was raised in an environment where caring wasn’t optional; it was natural. It’s just who I am now.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My journey is a blend of creativity, entrepreneurship, and connection. Professionally, I focus on building two branches of my work that truly represent who I am: The Beauty Edit and The Brand Edit.

The Beauty Edit is where I pour my love for enhancing confidence. I do nails, lashes, and brows, and for me it’s never just a service — it’s an experience. There’s something so special about helping someone feel beautiful, put together, and seen. Those one-on-one moments with clients remind me why I started: to make people feel cared for and uplifted.

Then there’s The Brand Edit, which is all about creativity and influence. I work in social media marketing, content creation, and brand management, and I design logos, flyers, planners, invites — everything a brand needs to show up professionally and aesthetically. I also do influencing and brand ambassador work, which has opened doors for me to collaborate with companies and connect with a wider audience. It’s exciting to build community through my online presence and show up as someone young, creative, and driven.

Together, these two sides of my work reflect my personality — a balance of beauty, branding, and authentic connection. On top of that, my business Charmed by Leena lets me express my artistic side even more through personalized charm bracelets, accessories, and pop-up markets where I get to interact with people face-to-face.

What’s most special to me is that everything I do is rooted in heart. I started all of this from a place of passion and wanting to create things that make people feel good. I’m continuing to grow, expand my services, take on more collaborations, and refine both The Beauty Edit and The Brand Edit. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited for what’s coming next.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

When I look back on my journey, the three things that impacted me the most were resilience, empathy, and a willingness to learn.

Resilience came from everything I’ve had to grow through — balancing school, building my services, finding my confidence again, and still showing up for the people I love. It taught me that even when life feels heavy, I can rise and create something beautiful out of it. For anyone just starting out, remember that setbacks don’t define you. They shape you. Take your time, breathe, and don’t give up on yourself.

Empathy is something I learned from my family, my sister, and my friends. Being surrounded by love, support, and people who showed up for me taught me the importance of showing up for others. It’s why I care so deeply about the people I work with — whether they’re clients, collaborators, or followers. My advice is to stay soft, stay genuine, and never lose the part of you that cares. It’s your superpower.

And the willingness to learn — that’s been everything. From nails, lashes, brows, content creation, branding, marketing, and running two different branches of my work… I’ve taught myself so much by simply being open to growth. If you’re early in your journey, don’t be afraid to start small. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Be curious, be patient, and allow yourself to evolve.

Those three qualities guided me through every chapter. And if you hold onto them, you’ll not only build something meaningful — you’ll become someone you’re proud of.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

The people who have helped me the most are the ones closest to me — my parents, my sister, and my friends.

My parents have been my foundation. They’ve always put out so much for me, and watching them handle life with strength, sacrifice, and love taught me everything about resilience, generosity, and believing in myself. They’ve supported every step I’ve taken, even when I doubted myself, and their guidance is a big part of why I’m able to chase my goals today.

My sister has helped shape some of my most important qualities. Growing up with her taught me patience, responsibility, and how to genuinely care for someone. She inspires me to be softer, kinder, and more thoughtful — the kind of person people feel safe around.

And my friends have been the ones who remind me who I am when life gets overwhelming. They’ve seen me at my best and my worst, and they’ve never stopped encouraging me. Whether it’s cheering me on, giving honest advice, or just being present, they’ve played a huge role in helping me grow, create, and stay grounded.

So really, the people I love are the ones who shaped my strength, my heart, and my ambition. They’re the reason I’m able to become the person I’m becoming.
