Meet Alejandra Betancur

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alejandra Betancur. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alejandra below.

Alejandra, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I got resilience from my mother, I always saw her working hard and always having a positive actitud even in a difficult times. since I was a child life had told me to recover from difficult time since my father was killed and my family was separated.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I am originally from Colombia and I used to leave in NYC. 5 years ago I started to clean houses by myself and I start doing it from scratch. cleaning with love and care putting my personal touch and taking care of the details, having always the intention to serve others and feeling very thankful for the opportunity to provide for my family.
with the time, the word of mouth start having more clients and I start cleaning with my husband, and then hire someone to help us, and I start to see the opportunity to grow more and also I realize that there’re many women looking for a job. And I took the decision to jump in and start this aventure in a Cleaning Business called ALEXA’S CLEANING SERVICES . WHAT I REALIZE THE MOST IS ABOUT my personal GROUTHIS ABOUT the women that I have to became to be able to manage this business. AND THE INTENTION THAT I WANT TO PUT BEHIND THIS BUSINESS.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

one of the first quality is have courage to jump in, with out the knowledge to mange the business
second is surround yourself with the right people and listen their advice.
trust that what you are looking for is what is looking for you.
encourage my team to always to the best and also understanding the impact of what we are going< it is not only about cleaning a house, it is about how the clients feel when they see their house clean how much happiness, peace of mind and stress less we bring to them. my main advice is to set up an good intention and how you want to make feel your clientes, when you do that money will follow you and if you make your clients happy it will bring you new clients.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

the seven spiritual laws of success/Deepak Chopra.
and the 5 am club / Robin Sharma
I Learned that there is some rules in the spiritual world that I need to learn and follow to be successful .
and the second one is to wake up at 5 Am and have the first time do do the 20/20/20 rule

20 min to write in a diary about my life my goal and dreams and how to organize my day.
