We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alejandra Los Angeles. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alejandra below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Alejandra with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I design my work ethic from discipline and a deep alignment with my goals. When my actions move in harmony with my vision, working feels like an act of devotion. Discipline carries me through even the grey days, and my goals are the compass that keeps me true. I live la vie en rose by seeing beauty in the process and every time I check off a task in my pink planner, I watch another delicate petal of my dream life unfold before me.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m the founder and CEO of Twyla Couture, a fashion brand I launched at 19 that blends timeless elegance with modern empowerment. At Twyla Couture, we design pieces that make women feel confident, beautiful, and unapologetically themselves, whether it’s through our couture fashion or our beauty products like our lip glosses and liquid blush.
What excites me most is seeing the way our designs can transform women and how a garment can become armor, a love letter, or a statement. Twyla Couture isn’t just about clothing; it’s about the lifestyle of the women who run the world, the ones who embrace their power with grace.
Right now, we’re in a particularly exciting chapter. We’re planning a series of exclusive events and activations in New York City and Palm Beach that will bring the Twyla Couture Societé experience to life. These will be immersive, glamorous, and all about connecting with our societé in real time.
My goal has always been to make Twyla Couture not only a brand, but a society: one that celebrates elegance, romance, and living la vie en rose

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are resilience, discipline, and passion to keep going. Resilience has carried me through the inevitable challenges, discipline has kept me consistent even when motivation fades, and passion is what fuels me to push forward no matter what.
I’ve noticed that when people don’t truly love what they’re doing or can’t see their own vision clearly, that’s when they quit, often because they were chasing a trend or just the money. But when you’re doing what you love, one of two things will happen: you’ll become a trend, or you’ll make money and in many cases, both.
It’s not about luck; it’s about staying true to your passion and committing to a state of constant learning so you can build your own empire. If you don’t love what you do and are only copying others, you’ll always fail eventually and the first person you’ll have failed is yourself.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I feel overwhelmed, my first instinct used to be to erupt, blame others, and slip into a negative attitude. But I’ve learned that reaction doesn’t serve me or anyone around me. Now, I practice what I call a ‘silence ritual.’ I take a step back, create space for nothing but everything at the same time, and allow myself a period of self-mindfulness. In that quiet, the feelings of overwhelm start to fade, because I realize that being overwhelmed is often just being faced with too much information at once. Sometimes, we simply need a little more time to process it all, and giving myself that pause has changed my life.
