Meet Alex Boreiko

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alex Boreiko. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alex below.

Hi Alex, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

Honestly, I don’t think I ever fully got over my imposter syndrome, and I think that’s a necessary bad thing. Because in a way, it keeps me pushing: to be more creative, to film better, to explore new equipment, new trends, new ideas. It’s a never-ending story.

Continuing to improve and hearing positive feedback has definitely helped a lot. But I realized over time that what people often see as something “negative” can actually be used as fuel. I learned how to turn it into something positive. It motivates me to keep growing instead of getting comfortable.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I feel like I’ve tried just about every type of photography and videography out there. Weddings, food content, product shoots, family sessions, you name it. It took me a while to figure out what I truly loved.

Eventually, I realized my passion is in working with businesses and realtors. I help them show who they are, not just what they sell. I create listing videos, brand films, social media content, and marketing campaigns that make people feel something.

I plan, script, film, direct, and edit. I don’t just show up with a camera, I help create a concept and tell a story that fits the brand.

All those years of experimenting gave me a ton of experience and perspective. And I think that’s why people connect with my work now. There’s over 10 years of learning, trying, failing, refining, and growing behind every video I make.

I didn’t just pick up a camera recently, I’ve been in this world for a long time. I was just figuring out where my passion truly belonged. And once I found it, everything clicked.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three things that impacted my journey the most were:

1. Curiosity.
I was always exploring, new styles, new gear, different types of clients. I didn’t box myself into one niche right away. That curiosity is what helped me discover what I actually love doing.

2. Resilience.
There were times when I doubted myself or didn’t get the results I wanted. But I kept going. I didn’t have confidence first, I built confidence by doing it over and over again.

3. Storytelling.
The biggest shift for me was realizing that my work isn’t just about capturing visuals. It’s about making people feel something. Whether I’m filming a house or a brand story, there’s always a message and emotion behind it.

For anyone early in their journey:
You don’t have to have everything figured out from the start. Let your direction evolve. The clarity comes from doing the work, not before it.

And give yourself time. Growth isn’t instant, but consistency compounds in ways you don’t always see right away.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

The person who has helped me the most is my wife. We actually started this business together. We were figuring everything out side by side, learning, experimenting, building, and growing through the uncertainty.

Over time, she found her own passion and started pursuing her own path, but she has never stopped being a huge part of my growth. She’s still the one who pushes me, gives honest feedback, challenges me to think bigger, and reminds me what I’m capable of when I start to doubt myself.

She believed in me long before I fully believed in myself. A lot of who I am today, the way I work, the confidence I have, the way I keep moving forward — comes from her support and the foundation we built together.
