Meet Alex Mounir

We recently connected with Alex Mounir and have shared our conversation below.

Alex, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I’ve found my purpose through Christ alone. Every morning I remind myself in the mirror: I am a child of God and my full identity is in Him and His unconditional love. Everything else flows from that — being an artist, a son, a brother, and a friend. That foundation gives me my ultimate purpose, and from there my secondary purposes flow through my art.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Absolutely! I’m a child of God and I work as a screen actor. Recently, my training has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. It’s been incredibly therapeutic, helping me discover not only more about my craft but also about myself and other people.

On screen, I’m often cast as the charming, warm-hearted guy, the boy next door, the brother, the son, or the boyfriend who brings a mix of relatability and drive, who always gets his way.

Of course, it’s exciting to see my work on the big screen and to share scenes with tremendous actors, but what excites me most right now is the learning. I’m still young, and I have so much to grow into and that process itself has been thrilling. My focus at this stage is on deepening my skills, taking on meaningful roles, and building a body of work that reflects both my faith and my passion for storytelling.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

If I had to choose three qualities, I’d say resilience, empathy, and a genuine love for the art. With those three qualities, I believe you can go far. My advice is to surround yourself with mentors and peers who are striving toward the same goal — people who will push you and grow with you. Personally, my biggest source of guidance is asking God for wisdom, but for those who don’t share that belief, there are so many great resources out there like Youtube or mentors.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

Honestly, the most important book I’ve read is the Bible. I haven’t finished it yet, but it has already taught me how to love and what truly matters in life. It’s teaching me about the man I want to become as I grow older and who to turn to in times of both joy and despair. I talk about Jesus in almost every interview because He’s the most important and significant part of my personal life — how could I not share that with everyone?
