We recently connected with Alex Solca and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Alex, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
In life you receive and you give back. We are all connected and we all need each other.
At some point, we all need help and we are also in a position to help others.
From my experience, I realized that the most satisfying and fulfilling feeling is when you help others. it’s a “feel good” vibe that lasts longer than being selfish.
When I moved to the USA from Europe I met a lot of people who helped me for no particular reason. They sure made a big difference in my life and at that point I kept in my mind that at some point I would do the same.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am a photographer and I enjoy photographing people. Mostly weddings, artists, musicians and portraits. I try to make my session a fun moment of connection, fun and celebration of life.
In fact, that’s my daily attitude.
Every moment is precious….don’t let it go by unnoticed.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Positive thinking, discipline and resilience. You have to visualize your goal, work hard towards and enjoy the ride.
Sometimes you will have set backs, doubts, delays etc. but as long as you keep moving forward, eventually you will get there,
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
They believed in me, they built my self confidence and supported my choices without questioning them. I am extremely lucky and grateful.
