We recently connected with Alexa Luckey and have shared our conversation below.
Alexa, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
Rivers, lakes, oceans, streams – water. In all its forms, water always holds the sacredness of life. Its ability to glisten under the sun and reflect its light…its melodic tune as its waves gently rock into eachother; only water. I’ve always found safety in the nearness of earth’s beloved compound.
Whenever the cares of life stack themselves in my mind, it’s not uncommon for me to slip away to the closest shore or riverbank, letting the sound, sight, and scent of water rearrange my thoughts. A gently companion that awakens me. Water has a way of opening the horizon of my imagination, stretching the boundaries of what feels possible. It loosens any creative block, washes away tension, and reminds me that flow is natural and that ideas, vision, and creativity return when given space.
For me, keeping creativity alive looks like staying close to water. It’s where my spirit exhales.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I describe myself in three parts – Storyteller. Conduit. Builder.
Storyteller.
I carry narratives; my own and those entrusted to me, and I shape them into something that speaks, heals, and reveals truth. Usually my method of communication is within the arts – music, film, and the like.
Conduit.
I bridge worlds. Standing in the gap and serving as a mere channel of creativity and divine inspiration.
Builder.
I take ideas, vision, and revelation and turn them into systems, structures, and realities.
Most recently, I released my debut EP entitled, “Book of Psalms.” It’s a collection of writings and sounds from the “field” – my place of obscurity, learning, and growth. “Book of Psalms” was inspired by David, inspired by the Psalms, but genuinely—from my heart, my eyes, and my ears.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Faith. Focus. Adaptability.
Faith kept me steady when everything around me felt uncertain. It helped me move even when I couldn’t yet see the full path, and it reminded me that purpose isn’t something I invent—it’s something I align with.
Focus is simply about choosing intention over impulse – being intentional and honing in on the task at hand.
Adaptability – The landscape changes. Technologies change. People change. Seasons change. Adaptability allowed growth without stagnation—staying rooted while remaining flexible. I frequently work in a variety of artistic mediums and being fluid and willing to change has proved valuable. For anyone early in their journey: strengthen your faith through spiritual rhythms, sharpen your focus through intentional routines, and build adaptability by welcoming new challenges as opportunities to grow.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m absolutely open to partnering and collaborating with people whose values and vision align with the work I’m called to do. I’m especially drawn to collaborators who create, in part, as an act of service—people who see their gifts not just as talent, but as a means reach people, uplift them, and leave them better than they found them. Whether they’re storytellers, artists, strategists, or marketplace leaders, I value those who create with intention and compassion. People can connect with me through my website or social platforms—I’d love to see what we can build. @alexaluckey
