Hi Alexander & Chantal , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

Over the past thirty years, I have collaborated across diverse styles, visions, and aesthetics, thereby gaining valuable insights into effective practices and what genuinely holds significance. This knowledge has been acquired through the guidance of various mentors. These years of experience have provided us with the fundamental principle of success: regardless of the endeavor, always approach it as if you own it, and carry it out with unwavering passion and consistent energy. For our approach, there are three essential steps. Firstly, develop an authentic passion for your work; do it because it brings fulfillment and aligns with your calling. Secondly, dedicate yourself to diligent daily effort; focus on achieving success, be content with your results and accomplishments, and consistently accept challenges while seeking continuous improvement. Thirdly, pursue innovation persistently, seek better education, adopt new techniques, and stay informed about trending topics. Always be prepared to learn and adapt to emerging artistic developments.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

As business owners, we must consistently remember these three key factors for success: Adaptability and Willingness to Learn. The ability to adapt to new situations, technologies, and challenges was crucial for navigating changes and seizing opportunities throughout my journey. Communication Skills. Being able to clearly express ideas, actively listen, and collaborate with diverse teams made a significant difference in building relationships and advancing projects. Problem-Solving Mindset. Approaching challenges with curiosity and a solution-oriented attitude was fundamental to overcoming obstacles and achieving results. Focus on continuous learning, refine your communication skills, and practice addressing problems proactively. Seek mentorship, maintain curiosity, and remain receptive to feedback and new experiences. These habits will accumulate over time and lay the foundation for sustained success.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

I have followed the same practice for the past several years as a chef: whenever I feel overwhelmed, I prefer to visit a farm, explore the outdoors, or simply connect with nature. This activity allows me to observe how wonderful life can be outside of our routine work environments. I highly recommend engaging with nature.
