Meet Alexander Quezada

We were lucky to catch up with Alexander Quezada recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alexander , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Very interesting question, for me I think I found my purpose when I made my first short film, the impact it made on people and how well received it was, it inspired me to do more and that’s when I knew my purpose was to be a filmmaker

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I make short films for a living well as a hobby but I hope for it to be my life. I think what makes it special for me is that it allows me to use my voice and passion to craft stories into life. I been through a lot of trauma and this in a way helps give me closure. I hope that people feel inspired by my stories or feel like they’re not alone. I would say some things to look out for are some short films on the way one I could spoil is called BROTHERS.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I would say one skill is patience. I know it’s important to be consistent but I try not to let that be 24/7 and learn to live. A quality would be kindness, being in a film community it’s important to be kind and caring you’d be surprised to see how fast words spread in communities. And area of knowledge would be loyalty. For anyone wanting to get into a industry especially film, it’s important to remember if casted be on time and determined and most importantly be loyal to others cause then you’ll be brought back again by directors.
