We were lucky to catch up with Alexander Yakush recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alexander , we are so deeply grateful to you for opening up about your journey with mental health in the hops that it can help someone who might be going through something similar. Can you talk to us about your mental health journey and how you overcame or persisted despite any issues? For readers, please note this is not medical advice, we are not doctors, you should always consult professionals for advice and that this is merely one person sharing their story and experience.
Mental health challenges have been some of the most difficult – yet most defining – moments in my entrepreneurial journey. There were times – especially during the collapse of my business, my wife’s departure, financial pressure, and personal losses – when I felt completely alone, lacking motivation, energy, and faith in myself. That’s when I realized: mental health isn’t just about ‘mood.’ It’s biology. It’s hormones.
I started by turning inward and undergoing a comprehensive health check, which included hormone and vitamin tests. I discovered that my exhaustion wasn’t about laziness or weakness but a physical imbalance. From that moment on, I made a decision: discipline, fitness, clean nutrition, and self-awareness would become the foundation of my life.
I began with small steps: waking up early, eating clean, training daily, praying, meditating, and journaling. Gradually, my body got stronger, my hormones rebalanced, clarity returned – and with it, the energy to rebuild my life and business.
Today, I know for sure: mental health is not a weakness. It’s the foundation of a strong man, a leader, and an entrepreneur. True strength comes from self-awareness, health, discipline, and faith. Everything else is simply the result.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a serial entrepreneur and founder of several companies: Avix Jets (a private airline offering private flights; clients can purchase tickets for private jets on our website; our platform is highly beneficial for brokers – we pay up to 70% commission), Avix Growth PR (media promotion and brand visibility), Morfi Matrix (technology and AI solutions), as well as a construction company specializing in modern high-end residential projects.
I started everything not with $1,000 but from absolute zero and debts. There was no startup capital, support, or investors—only faith, inner strength, and discipline. Step by step, through failures and personal crises, I began building businesses that now operate in various industries and countries.
What inspires me most is creating platforms and brands that help others rise. I love turning ideas into reality and giving people the opportunity to grow and strengthen their name, status, and influence.
Currently, my focus is on the international growth of Avix Jets – we are developing a private airline where clients can buy tickets for private jets through a convenient website, and brokers receive some of the highest commissions on the market, up to 70%. Our platform connects aircraft owners, pilots, and clients worldwide through technology and a personalized approach.
Additionally, my team at Avix Growth PR helps entrepreneurs, experts, and creatives become publicly recognized – we create Google Panels, arrange interviews, and build visibility in the media space.
At the core of everything lie discipline, health, faith, and constant forward movement. Everything else is a result of this foundation.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three most important qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that have been crucial in my journey are:
Discipline. Without it, it’s impossible to endure long periods of uncertainty, stress, and challenges. Discipline helps you take small steps every day toward your big goal, even when motivation is lacking.
The ability to learn and adapt. The world changes quickly, and it’s essential to stay flexible, constantly learn new things, adjust, and implement new knowledge and technologies into your business.
Relationship-building and communication skills. Entrepreneurship is not just about ideas; it’s about people. The ability to connect with partners, clients, your team, and even competitors opens doors that talent alone cannot.
My advice for those just starting out:
Focus on these three areas. Develop discipline through daily habits, never stop learning — read, listen, try, and don’t fear mistakes. And definitely work on your communication: learn to listen, be honest, and be open. This will give you a solid foundation for growth and success.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
I was born and raised in the most wonderful family – a family of entrepreneurs – where from an early age I was surrounded by the right principles, life values, and family traditions. My parents not only instilled in me fundamental lessons of honesty, responsibility, and hard work but also provided me with an excellent education that became the foundation for my future success.
From a young age, I studied at some of the best institutions – in Switzerland, Britain, and Spain – and had the unique opportunity to explore all of Europe during my school years. This broadened my horizons, introduced me to diverse cultures and perspectives, and played a crucial role in shaping my character.
Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs and receiving such an education taught me not only to value knowledge and effort but also to understand the importance of adaptability, innovation, and continuous growth. These lessons became my inner foundation, helping me become a successful and driven individual capable of creating and growing businesses on an international scale.
I am deeply grateful to my parents for laying such a strong foundation in me – thanks to them, I learned to see opportunities where others see obstacles and to strive for the highest goals without fear of challenges.
