Meet Alexis Alba

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alexis Alba . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Alexis , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Since I was young I’ve always had to really apply myself nothing every came easy to me or was handed to me, which taught me to be the hardest worker in the room.I say I have a work ethic like a thoroughbred. Ive been in sports when I was growing up which taught me discipline and to work hard to get to the desired result which I feel is no different in my adult life. When you’re passionate about your career (which I am) or a big end goal in sight I will walk to the ends of earth to accomplish that.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My name is Alexis I am the CEO and Stylist at my Salon, Muse Modern Salon. We are a luxury Kerestase boutique salon that specializes in Bridal Balayage and extensions. We have been featured nationally and regionally in bridal magazines as well as numerous blogs. I have an incredibly amazing team who are all hard working, dedicated, passionate and have amazing character which I always what I look for over “talent” however our incredible team isn’t just what sets us apart its our community and brand that we want you to be a part of! Muse is much more than a salon we love to empower you to #Beyourownmuse®️/ we encourage you to be inspired and proud of who you are and the stories and journeys that have led you to be where you are at today. When I started Muse it was from 100% men clientele which has now flourished into the amazing female and male salon now. Fast forward to 8 years later we are officially moving to a larger storefront location and expanding our team which I fully understand I would not be where I am without the support of my loved ones, team and most of all my amazing clients so from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU <3

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Mind set, work ethic and Integrity. These three have been most impactful because without a positive mindset, a steady work ethic and good integrity and character its very hard to accomplish your goals and build a strong network and community without those! Advice I have for people early in their journey that can best develop or improve on theses is constantly push yourself to step outside of the box, listen to podcasts that are positive and impactful. Do things that add value to your life or your goals!

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did were be a great example of what it takes to be a team, how to work through adversity and how small sacrifices can be the biggest blessing. My parents applied to dental school and moved us down to pueblo not knowing if either one of them were accepted with 3 kids, myself who was 3 years old my siblings who were 4 and 11. To their surprise they both were accepted and went to school full time, working all while juggling being parents and were the first married couple to graduate from their school!
