Meet Alexis Eleniak-Radford

We were lucky to catch up with Alexis Eleniak-Radford recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I didn’t find my purpose to teach, it found me. Through my journey exercise/fitness has had many roles. Gymnastics coach; CalStateLA teacher (Aerobics class & Walking class); as a 20 year job in Physical Therapy teaching Pilates & Core.

Now working for myself still love teaching Pilates; Core & Corrective Exercise. My focus is everyone’s question: what is Core & how to use all of it when needed!!! I am a Credit Provider for PMA; NASM & AFAA.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
What I do is teach everything relating to Core. Identifying each muscle; teaching how to contract all Core muscles at the same time through breathing alone.

Most of the world know very little about how to use Core with regular movement, not relating to exercise.

I want to teach everyone how to strengthen their back, just by breath work.

I teach Whole Body Core. Speed up your metabolism & get fit learning this intense but super easy strategy.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Dedication-Keeping my goal in site & not getting distracted. Wanting something & not letting anything stand in my way of making it happen.

2. Honing my craft. Through the years I have learned Anatomy/Physiology; Pilates & breathing etc.; creating a program on Core for the world to learn.

3.Having a full Pilates certification was beyond helpful. Teaching students & patients movement with breath work
& seeing their transformations. Knowing that I made a powerful difference in their lives.

Advice. Take my course & start your powerful journey today.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Would have to be becoming a Corrective Exercise Specialist through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). The test was insane & made me more knowledgeable because of it. Now my skill set is sharper than ever & can apply it to every person I work with.
