Meet Alexys Jack

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alexys Jack a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alexys, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

I developed my confidence and self-esteem through life experiences, having a strong relationship with the Lord and understanding that it is important to have grace with myself. Life is all about experiences and lessons, so I’m always learning and I won’t know it all and that’s okay. As I grow I have to take it one moment at a time and get it through it that way, and stay grounded. As long as I do that I am happy and being happy is the best confidence a woman can wear.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am a 35 year old mother of 2 boys and a wife to my best friend, I am also a home owner and a Christian woman, who is also born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I am a sexual abuse survivor and I am an absolute powerhouse. I understand that healing is a lifelong work and I have patience with myself in that area, I am a photographer specializing in women in business, elevating their brand identity with creative visuals. It’s beautiful and fulfilling work, and I have over 9 years of expertise in my craft of photography. I mentor, I teach and I love giving back and collaboration. I was blessed to be able to work with Super Bowl 57, NCAA Men’s Final Four, Taste of the NFL, and be on the news. I have had such a beautiful career in photography and I am always looking for ways to connect with other businesses and do innovative things to create art.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Some qualities or skills that were most impactful in my journey were staying a student, always be willing to learn. I realize I don’t know it all and that’s a beautiful humble place to be. Next is understanding how important it is to show up professionally so you’re target customers can find you, and want to support you. You don’t want to show up half way or unprofessionally because that will make or break the sale you’re trying to get and also your reputation as a business owner.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Yes, I am always looking for people to connect and collab with. I am looking for other business owners who need strong visuals for their business. It can be women owned business of course they are my target audience, but it can also be any entrepreneurs. Restaurant owners, gym owners, florists, etc. I’m open to all! And I can be contacted via my website, www.alexysbrandon.com.
