Meet Alice Maples

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alice Maples. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alice, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
“Flowers don’t bloom all year.” For me, I have accepted that my creativity, inspiration and drive comes in waves. I am not a machine and I am content with my dedication to being authentic in what I produce. In being authentic, I’m not always on. I need periods of rest. I need times of reflection. When I am recharged and re-inspired I share my creativity, knowledge and experience.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My main focus right now is supporting women professionals with entrepreneurial spirits. Women have the weight of the world on their shoulders, are paid less, bear the burden of more household chores and child rearing, and are expected to do it all and be it all. I really enjoy helping women manage their menstrual cycles, time blocking, boundary setting, set goals so that they can realize their infinite potential, have amazing sex, live purposefully, experience health, be successful and of course have fun!

I LOVE helping people, and I will admit, it is a bit selfish in nature at times. I have a gift of being profoundly empathetic (the ability to feel people’s emotions) so it is in both of our best interests that my clients are thriving and happy!

I am accepting new clients and would love to schedule an exploratory call with motivated women interested in leveling up their life.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities and skills that were impactful in my journey:

1. Asking for help. We are not meant to live this life alone. It is vital to everyone’s success to get support at our lowest low’s and our highest high’s!

2. Never stop learning. The only constant is change. Having a growth mindset is the best way to live a happy life in my opinion!

3. Checking the vibe of your tribe! The people closest to us will either grow or hinder your success. If I find that people are negative, abusive or mean to me or anyone else… they do not get to be a part of my tribe. They get voted off the island by me. I keep people close to me that love me, believe in me, support me, tell me the truth and support my vision. If not, they can watch my ever expanding success, love and abundance from the sidelines.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
I am very lucky because my mom is a wickedly brilliant, successful, persistent and is a great disruptor in society. Does she always give good advice? No. Sometimes it’s totally terrible. But, her love and support is unconditional and she has undeniably shaped my character. She inspired my witty personality and put a fire under my ass to make a difference in the world, because I can and I do.
