Meet Alina Nastase

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Alina Nastase. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alina, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
From my strong believe in God, and that I’m always guided to serve the highest through my art, that keeps me optimistic and motivate even in the hardest moments where hope might feel like is lost, I still find optimism because I know that’s the work of the highest in my journey for what is coming next. As the winter is necessary to be so we can have a beautiful spring so I know, those down only leads to a next beautiful high.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m an actress currently living in Los Angeles. I fell in love with this town, and I’ve been here since 2019, continuously pursuing my passion. I come from Madrid, where most of my acting career was developed. Originally, I’m from Bucharest. I discovered my love for acting at the age of 8 while performing in a theater play at the Waldorf school. It was then that I realized I wanted to make people feel and learn through my performances, exploring various aspects of human experience within myself and the stories I portrayed.

I decided to pursue a career as an actress, but it wasn’t until I was 19 that I began my formal professional journey. I studied at one of the oldest drama schools in Spain, focusing on movies. I kept attending auditions and finally landed my first lead role in a movie in 2011. From there, my career continued to flourish, and I eventually moved to Madrid, where I worked in different movies and TV shows. In 2018, I felt a calling to come to LA to further enhance my acting skills, so I enrolled at the Stella Adler school. I wanted to see how my dream city would feel in reality, and since then, I have found people, projects, and situations that have inspired and motivated me to keep growing and developing in Los Angeles.

I recognize that starting over in LA, without the base I had in Spain, was a challenge. However, I followed my inner calling, which continued to push me forward. Now, I’m here, and we are recently coming out of the Strike. I’m currently writing my own story, which I hope, with the help of God, will be turned into a Sci-Fi movie with a meaningful message that I’ve wanted to share for some time.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I would advise listening with your heart and all your senses to your environment and your scene partner when you’re preparing to play a role. Avoid judging your initial instincts that arise during this process, and most importantly, have confidence in yourself. When you trust yourself, you can adapt like water, molding yourself into the form necessary to convey the story effectively.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am passionate about building a community of actors and creators who share a common goal of spreading a meaningful message, as I mentioned earlier.
