Meet Allan Campbell

We were lucky to catch up with Allan Campbell recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Allan, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

While it’s unlikely that any of us completely conquer impostor syndrome, I’ve found that working diligently on myself and my physical health has been instrumental in mitigating those feelings of inadequacy. When I was younger, even the simplest tasks, like going to the gym or being around confident people, triggered impostor syndrome.
As I matured and moved away from my hometown, I made a conscious effort to transform into the person I aspired to be. Through dedicated self-improvement, I’ve gained confidence and a sense of belonging, even in challenging situations or when surrounded by extraordinary individuals.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My name is Allan Campbell, and I’m the founder and owner of the Official Concept Group of Companies. Passionate about the world of luxury and bespoke brands, I’ve created a luxury magazine and a podcast. The Official Concept Podcast features inspiring conversations with celebrities, models, and industry experts, exploring their successes and unique stories.
As a professional photographer and videographer, I’m committed to capturing the beauty and essence of the world around us. My goal is to shine a spotlight on others, celebrating their achievements and sharing their inspiring narratives.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Prioritize self-care and growth. Create a safe space for personal development, setting realistic goals and committing to achieving them. Don’t shy away from acknowledging the perks and benefits you desire, whether it’s a healthier lifestyle or further education. If fitness is your goal, develop a concrete workout plan and fully commit to it.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

To maintain my focus and manage the stress of running multiple businesses, I often meditate three or four times a day. These sessions, ranging from quick two-minute practices to more in-depth 20-minute meditations, provide a mental sanctuary. Here, I can ground myself, calmly consider challenges, and devise effective solutions.
