We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Allison Williams. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Allison below.
Allison, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I uncovered my purpose by paying attention to what consistently came to the surface in my life. For example, being in a position to help always came up whether at work, in school, or in the community. I realized my purpose is to help where and when led to do so. Through my life experiences, I am able to help people in my unique way. Finding solutions to problems and creative problem-solving come easily to me and I enjoy helping people uncover their purpose and strengths.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My purpose in life is to help. That simple. Being a helper is my zone of genius, and I am skilled in seeing the possibilities, filling gaps, finding solutions, and inspiring and uplifting people. I absolutely love seeing people win and empowering people through education! I’ve spent almost 20 years developing training programs (ie. e-learning, online courses) for some of your favorite products and brands. However, what is more, important to me is the impact I am able to have on women in helping them achieve their goals through business and personal development education. As a Personal Development & Business Coach, I teach women how to build a purpose-driven, financially independent lifestyle that aligns with who they are. I help them create the life they truly desire by affirming who they are, deciding what they want, and starting! This could mean starting a new chapter in life, leaping into entrepreneurship, or scaling their existing business. I named my coaching program This is My Start to show people that it is never too late for a new start! You can start something new at any given moment. I was inspired by people who bought my START t-shirt and told me they wear it every Monday as a reminder that they have to start in order to achieve their goals. That was very powerful to me. A shirt I made as a way to inspire me ended up inspiring many!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Being resilient, a love for learning new things, and believing in myself. My advice is very simple… Keep going, be relentless.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
My ideal client is a woman that knows there is something else she is supposed to be doing with her life. She wants to be free and freedom for her means earning her worth, traveling frequently, spending more time with loved ones, and doing whatever she wants! She desires to be fully in control of her life! She has been flirting with the idea of being an entrepreneur but can’t decide between her many talents. This person can be starting fresh or starting over, My program will help her affirm who she is, decide exactly what she wants to do and execute her plan.
She this thinking:
This ain’t it!
She often feels like there is something else she is supposed to be doing. Something that is enjoyable, adds value, earns money, and she can do on her own terms.
I’m ready for what’s next.
She has checked all of “the things” off her list and she wants to know what is next. She needs a new challenge and one that may replace her main source of income.
I’m Entrepreneur-ish.
This person may be a part-time entrepreneur, new entrepreneur, or wanna-be entrepreneur and could use some help with her mindset, setting goals, changing direction, and getting started.
I need a new start.
She is ready for a new start. This could be due to rebuilding her life after a mistake, an unfortunate event, or just because she feels like it! She likes the idea of designing the life she wants to live and allowing someone to show her how to do it. This was my reason for starting my LLC. In my program, we talk about the story of how my company was born.
