Alyx, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My purpose emerged through a journey of exploration, growth, and connection. It was not a single moment of clarity but a series of experiences that drew me closer to what truly matters. Traveling, immersing myself in diverse cultures, and practicing yoga opened me to the wisdom of aligning body, mind, and spirit. One of the most transformative experiences was traveling to Koh Phangan Island in Thailand, where I completed my yoga teacher training. Immersing myself in age-old traditions and the spiritual depth of yoga revealed a new layer of connection to myself and the world.

Studying at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition deepened my understanding of holistic health, gut health, and the profound impact of wellness on life. As I cultivated a connection with nature, practiced mindfulness, and pursued self-sufficiency, I realized my purpose: to guide others in discovering freedom, wellness, and connection—within themselves and with the world. Building Healthy Livin Wellness and dreaming of a retreat center solidified this calling, as I now focus on creating spaces where people can heal, grow, and thrive.

I’m Alyx, a wellness coach, yoga instructor, and the founder of Healthy Livin Wellness—a space dedicated to helping individuals align with their truest selves through holistic health and mindful living. My journey into this field began as a personal quest to connect deeply with my own wellness and spirituality, which evolved into a mission to guide others on their own paths.

Healthy Livin Wellness offers a unique blend of health coaching, yoga, and inspiration for sustainable, mindful living. What makes this work so special is its ability to create real, lasting transformation. I’ve seen people reconnect with their bodies, overcome health challenges, and find newfound freedom through small, intentional changes. The ripple effects of helping others achieve well-being are what drive me every day.

One of my most exciting offerings is personalized health and wellness coaching that goes beyond the physical—diving into emotional, mental, and even spiritual aspects of well-being. Through yoga classes, retreats, and collaborations with aligned brands, I aim to foster connection, growth, and community.

I am also incredibly passionate about sustainability and self-sufficiency, which are woven into everything I do. Whether it’s raising animals, creating abundance on our property to support both wildlife and our own needs, or planning the creation of a wellness retreat space where guests can connect deeply with nature, yoga, and spiritual practice, my work is rooted in values of mindfulness, sustainability, freedom, and authenticity. I’m passionate about fostering a more connected experience for others—a place where they can recharge, reconnect, and find inspiration in the harmony of people and the natural world.

I’m currently expanding my offerings with wellness workshops, events, and collaborations. I’m also pursuing advanced certifications in fitness and holistic health to deepen my expertise and better serve my community.

The dream of creating a wellness retreat center is becoming more tangible every day. I envision it as a space where individuals can heal, explore, and thrive through yoga, farm-to-table meals, and sustainable living practices.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three key qualities and areas of knowledge that have been most impactful in my journey:

Resilience and Adaptability:

Life rarely unfolds as planned, and resilience has been crucial in navigating challenges—from balancing multiple roles as a wellness coach, yoga instructor, and corporate professional, to overcoming personal lows and moments of doubt. Adaptability has allowed me to embrace change, evolving my goals as I grow.

Advice: Cultivate resilience by focusing on your “why.” It’s easier to persevere when you stay connected to your purpose. Practice adaptability by welcoming change as an opportunity to grow instead of fearing it.

Curiosity and Lifelong Learning:

A deep curiosity has fueled my passion for holistic health, gut health, and sustainable living. Whether it’s completing my yoga teacher training on Koh Phangan Island, earning my certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, or exploring new ways to create abundance on my property, I’ve embraced the mindset of a student for life.

Advice: Never stop learning. Invest in courses, books, and experiences that expand your knowledge, and surround yourself with people who inspire growth. Stay open to new ideas and approaches, even if they challenge your current perspective.

Authenticity and Connection

Staying true to my values of truth, freedom, and self-sufficiency has been a guiding light in my work. Authenticity builds trust, and it’s the foundation of meaningful connections with others—whether through yoga, coaching, or inspiring mindful living. This authenticity extends to creating spaces where people can feel at home, connect with nature, and find deeper meaning.

Advice: Get clear on your values and let them guide your decisions. Authenticity resonates with others and creates opportunities for genuine connection. To develop this, spend time reflecting on what matters most to you and practice showing up as your true self in all aspects of life.

For those early in their journey, my advice is simple: be patient with yourself. Growth takes time, and every step—no matter how small—leads you closer to your goals. Stay curious, lean into challenges, and let your passion guide you. Your unique path is what makes your journey so special!

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’m always looking to collaborate with individuals, brands, and organizations that align with my values of mindfulness, wellness, sustainability, authenticity, and freedom. Ideal collaborators are those who are truly open to holistic health, spirituality, and movement—individuals who not only believe in these practices but live and embody them every day. They are people who embrace a non-judgmental lifestyle, valuing freedom, authenticity, and the joy of shared experiences. These are the individuals and brands who fulfill themselves through their practices while generously sharing this gift with the world, inspiring others to connect, grow, and thrive.

I’m especially inspired by people and brands who are truly open, authentic, and unafraid to follow their own path—not the one others tell them to follow. Whether it’s through wellness events, retreats, content creation, or product partnerships, I’m excited to work with those who value integrity, connection, and the courage to live life on their own terms.

As I evolve my wellness business, I’m focusing on bringing more of it into the online space, which not only allows me to connect with a broader audience but also supports my personal goal of greater freedom. This shift enables me to travel more, deepen my connection to nature, and expand my homesteading journey—all while helping others live their healthiest, most authentic lives.
