Meet Amanda Colfax

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amanda Colfax. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Amanda, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

As a Christian, resilience is what truly develops a believer in the faith. We learn how to be strong and withstand spiritual warfare of all kinds. In this life we are not given the promise of a perfect life but to commune with a perfect God to help us through it. I learned resilience from a young age of being raised in a multicultural family, that is both Mexican and Arab. I was raised with 3 siblings and 2 wonderful parents. I watched my family overcome poverty and achieve the American dream. My father left to fight in the Afghanistan war when I was 15. This had a major life impact and it ended up making my entire family struggle. I had been raised Christian my entire life, my mother was rescued by God from North African and came to the US to raise her children Christian. It wasn’t until at 15 did I question God’s love on any my father had to go fight war and risk not ever seeing him again. I became a prodigal in the faith for a period until 19. That’s when my born again Christian journey started. I’ve been now faithfully a Christian for 11 years. I’ve been in ministry 9 of those years. I’ve worked full time jobs, paid my way through college, married my incredible husband, started a nonprofit, started multiple successful companies, and adopted a child. Everything about my life reflects resilience and perseverance.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I have been a Christian for 11 years. I’ve been in ministry for 9 years. I’ve been pastoring Revival Church for 3 years. My husband and I helped our belated pastor start revival church in 2018. After he retired he made us the pastors in 2021. We’re in 4 cities: Salem, Albany, Silverton, and Eugene. We’re launching locations in other states as well. I write and record Christian music and I preach all over the world. I’m known for moving in signs and wonders and loving people everywhere I go. My life story is very remarkable on how I became a Christian.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three qualities or skills I have that made an impactful journey on my life would be, my faith walk Journey and in ministry, my business skills on building a multi million dollar company, and my marriage success to my husband after we overcame a lot of tragedy and loss of loved ones. The advice I would give to anyone in any of the categories would be to never lose faith, you’re smarter than you think, and you can make the family you’ve always wish you had.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

This would be a huge tribute to my husband, Gordon Colfax, and belated Pastor, Bob Harris. My husband has been my greatest supporter and best friend. He has believed the best in me and walked me through every stage of my personal development. He remembers me before I found God and when I was scared to pursue my education, ministry, and business career. I also honor my Pastor, Bob Harris. He passed away in 2023 but the impact this man had on my life was immense for my belief in God and in what I am meant to do. He loved my husband and I like his very own children. He taught us so much about life, business, construction and real estate, and the Bible. He believed in me and mentored me so I could do what I’m doing now, preach the word of God and impact my generation.
