Meet Amanda Hart

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Amanda Hart . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Amanda below.

Hi Amanda , thank you so much for making time for us today. Let’s jump right into a question so many in our community are looking for answers to – how to overcome creativity blocks, writer’s block, etc. We’d love to hear your thoughts or any advice you might have.
Overcoming creative blocks can be tough! In the past, I’ve learned doing nothing is sometimes the best recipe for overcoming burn out or creative blocks. Especially in our over-stimulated world, I’ve learned that the best thing we can do when we feel a lack of creativity In our work or life in general is slowing down. Putting work to the side for a while and being in nature, taking a trip, or changing up your environment (even temporarily) really helps! Also, for me, something that has helped tremendously has been microdosing with psilocybin, This powerful little plant medicine has helped push me out of those uninspiring moments and helped to formulate new ideas and feelings of inspiration.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My business, Hart Wellness, is a platform where my clients can harness the power of holistic wellness to lead healthier, more balanced lives. I focus on four crucial pillars: Fitness, Nutrition, Stress Management, and Microdosing with Psychedelics. I believe in a comprehensive approach to health that incorporates mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

My journey towards becoming a holistic health coach and establishing Hart Wellness was a process of self-discovery and healing. I had a challenging upbringing, growing up in a toxic, abusive household. College, for me then, was just a faraway dream. But even in the face of adversity, I held onto hope and the sheer will to better my circumstances.

When I discovered the world of wellness and holistic health, I found a new perspective on life, a new vision for myself. I fell in love with the idea that you could naturally improve your physical health, your mindset, and enhance your spiritual connection through a holistic approach. I knew then that I wanted to bring this transformative discovery to others who might also be stuck in their own rut, struggling to find a way out.

While the journey to health and wellness was personal, the motivation to start my business came from a place of service to others. I realized how much of an impact a healthier lifestyle had on my confidence, my energy, and my outlook on life. I wanted to share that transformation with others. It’s not just about losing weight or gaining strength – it’s about waking up each day with vitality, peace, and a positive mindset.

Today, my motivation remains the same – it’s my clients. Every person who is ready to take that bold step towards a healthier version of themselves fuels my passion.

My latest program I’m most excited to offer
clients is an 8-week 1:1 immersive experience where I have the opportunity to work with clients in a supportive and safe container to guide them on three areas in their life: movement, meditation and microdosing.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three skills I believe have most helped me in my career:

Patience: you’ve got to stay patient and continue to work hard, take risks and keep pushing despite how well your business is doing. There are ups and downs to life and especially in business. Sometimes it also requires showing up unpaid or giving free content away in order to build a name for.

Adaptability: It’s important to be able to adapt and pivot- especially with the ever changing economy.

Networking: Developing the skills to network and collaborate with like minded creators and coaches has allowed me and my buisness to grow and continue to expand. Networking can be like a second job though! It’s not always easy but certainly worth it.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
Sure thing! My perspective has been deeply influenced by the profound wisdom imparted in the book, “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.

“The Alchemist” is not a book about health and wellness in the traditional sense; it does not discuss diets, workouts, or specific mental health strategies directly. Instead, it provides philosophical insights that can be applied to all areas of life, including health and wellness.

The top lessons I’ve gotten out of The Alchemist:

1. **Follow your Personal Legend:** Everyone has a unique path, or Personal Legend, to follow, which may differ from societal standards or expectations. In terms of health and wellness, this means acknowledging and respecting that everyone’s health journey is unique. Not all diets, workouts, or mental health practices will suit everyone. It’s about finding what resonates with your body, mind, and lifestyle and pursuing that!

2. **Embrace the journey, not the destination:** Health and wellness is a lifelong journey, not a destination to be reached. Just as Santiago learned that his journey was more important than the treasure he sought, we should focus on the process of nurturing our bodies and minds rather than fixating on the end goal.

3. **Every moment has a hidden message:** Similar to the language of the universe or omens in “The Alchemist”, every message our body sends us has meaning. Whether it’s hunger, fatigue, stress, or joy, each has a significant impact on our health and well-being. It’s crucial to tune into these messages to truly understand and cater to our needs.

4. **Fear is a bigger obstacle than the obstacle itself:** In the pursuit of health and wellness, our fears and self-doubt can often hinder us more than any external obstacle. Whether it’s the fear of failure, judgment, or change, learning to face these fears is integral to our mental and physical health journey.

5. **Alchemists transform and improve:** Just like how an alchemist transforms lead into gold, we too have the power to transform ourselves and our lives. By considering health, nutrition, and mental wellness holistically, we become our own alchemists, creating a golden state of health and well-being from within!
