We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Amanda Miller. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Amanda below.
Amanda, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Confidence isn’t something you’re born with—it’s built through experience. I developed mine by constantly learning, facing challenges head-on, and refusing to let setbacks define me. Preparation, taking risks, and surrounding myself with the right people helped me grow. Every challenge I’ve overcome has reinforced my belief in myself
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
“I’m a real estate broker, property manager, and TV host on American Dream TV. My passion is helping people buy, sell, and manage real estate while showcasing incredible communities and properties through media. What excites me most is making real estate more accessible and empowering clients with knowledge.
Right now, my team is expanding, and we’re improving our systems to better serve our clients. I’m also continuing to grow my presence on American Dream TV, bringing more unique real estate stories to viewers. Whether it’s negotiating deals, managing properties, or highlighting the best of our market, my focus is always on delivering value and excellence.”
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three most impactful qualities in my journey have been resilience, adaptability, and strong communication.
Resilience helped me push through challenges and setbacks—real estate isn’t always easy, and success comes from persistence. Adaptability has been crucial in a constantly changing market; staying ahead means always learning and evolving. Strong communication is key in negotiations, leadership, and building lasting client relationships.
For those just starting, my advice is to stay committed to growth. Learn from every experience, surround yourself with mentors, and never be afraid to take risks. Confidence comes from preparation, so keep improving your skills, and success will follow.
Do you think it’s better to go all in on our strengths or to try to be more well-rounded by investing effort on improving areas you aren’t as strong in?
I believe in doubling down on your strengths while improving key weaknesses that could hold you back. Your strengths are what set you apart, so refining them gives you a competitive edge. But ignoring weaknesses entirely can limit growth.
For example, I’ve always been strong in negotiations and leadership, so I focused on mastering those. However, I recognized that optimizing systems and processes was essential to scaling my business. Instead of trying to become an expert in everything, I hired the right people and implemented better structures to support efficiency and growth.
The key is balance—lead with your strengths, but don’t let weaknesses become roadblocks. Identify what truly needs improvement and either develop it or find the right support to fill the gaps.
