Meet Amanda Montagna

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Amanda Montagna. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Amanda, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
Resilience: The Power to Adapt and Overcome Resilience is the capacity to adapt and rise above challenges. I attribute my resilience to both my life experiences and my mother. When I was just two years old, she fled a war-torn country. Growing up was not without its difficulties, yet she instilled in me the belief that, regardless of the circumstances, one must always find a way to persevere.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
# Transforming Pain into Purpose

For much of my life, I struggled with depression, questioning my very existence. I comfortably adopted the role of a victim, constantly telling myself phrases like:

– “These are the cards I was dealt.”
– “People like me don’t…”
– “Why bother? Nothing ever goes my way…”

This mindset ultimately led to a suicide attempt in my early twenties. As I lay on the floor, waiting for my last breath, a powerful realization struck me: I didn’t want to die; I wanted to take control of my life. That moment opened my eyes to a fundamental truth: my life was in my hands. My struggles would become the fuel to drive me toward the future I knew I deserved.

Once I recognized that I had complete control over my destiny, everything began to change.

I committed to self-improvement, eventually earning my doctorate in Chiropractic. Today, I own a six-figure practice, multiple properties, and the confidence that comes from experience. I also founded a brand called Mountain Movers, dedicated to inspiring others and teaching them that struggle isn’t a stopping point but a springboard.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Embracing Challenges for Growth

Pain
Everyone has a story of struggle. This can be one of your greatest advantages if harnessed effectively. Emotions can be incredibly powerful, even those we may not necessarily enjoy experiencing. Let your challenges fuel your motivation to pursue your dreams.

Grit
Nothing worthwhile comes easily. If you’re not prepared to put in the effort, especially on tough days, then progress is unlikely. Those who achieve remarkable goals are often the ones who push through feeling tired, sad, or unsupported.

Belief
If you don’t believe you deserve a particular goal, it will remain out of reach. Your mindset must expand not only to envision what you want but also to recognize the work required to achieve it.
