Meet Amber Goodall

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Amber Goodall. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Amber below.

Amber, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My resilience comes from the life I’ve lived — from becoming a mother, from starting over more than once, and from learning how to build something meaningful even when the path wasn’t clear. I didn’t follow a traditional or linear career journey, and there were many moments where I had to trust myself before I had proof it would work. That taught me how to stay steady through uncertainty.
I also carry resilience from my roots and from the women in my life. I grew up learning the value of hard work, adaptability, and showing up even on the hard days. Later, motherhood deepened that strength — it taught me patience, humility, and how to keep moving forward with love, even when things feel heavy. Today, that resilience shows up in how I approach my business and my work with skin: gently, intentionally, and with deep respect for process. I’ve learned that real strength isn’t about pushing through — it’s about staying grounded, trusting timing, and allowing growth to unfold.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m a licensed esthetician and the founder of Skin + Chamomile, a facial studio created as a quiet counterpoint to a fast, fix-it culture. My work lives in the space where clinical skin science meets the healing wisdom of plants — where results and ritual are not opposites, but partners.
What I do is less about chasing perfection and more about restoring relationship — between a person and their skin. Every face carries a story shaped by stress, hormones, environment, and time. My role is to listen closely and respond with care. Through barrier-focused facials, advanced treatments, and intentional product selection, I help clients rebuild trust in their skin and in themselves. The most exciting part of my work is watching confidence return as the skin begins to stabilize and heal.
Professionally, I’m in a season of refinement and expansion. I’ve recently completed advanced training and certification in acne care through Face Reality, allowing me to offer structured, results-driven acne programs for both teens and adults. These programs blend clinical protocols with education, consistency, and compassion — honoring acne not as a flaw to fight, but as a signal asking for support. Integrating this system has been especially meaningful, as it aligns deeply with my belief in long-term skin health over quick fixes.
What I’m building with Skin + Chamomile is not just a treatment room, but an experience — one that invites people to slow down, learn their skin, and feel held in the process. As the brand continues to evolve, I’m thoughtfully incorporating more advanced modalities while remaining rooted in softness, integrity, and care. My hope is that every client leaves not only with healthier skin, but with a sense of calm, clarity, and empowerment that lingers long after the appointment ends.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three things stand out as the most impactful in my journey: patience, discernment, and a commitment to learning.
The first is patience — with myself, with my work, and with the process. Real growth, whether in skin or in business, rarely happens overnight. Learning to honor timing instead of rushing outcomes changed everything for me. My advice to those early in their journey is to allow yourself to grow in seasons. Mastery takes repetition, reflection, and rest. Trust that consistency will compound, even when progress feels quiet.
The second is discernment — knowing when to say yes, when to say no, and when something doesn’t align, even if it looks appealing from the outside. As my business grew, I learned that not every trend, opportunity, or comparison was meant for me. Developing discernment means getting clear on your values and letting them guide your decisions. For anyone starting out, spend time defining what truly matters to you. That clarity will become your compass.
The third is a deep commitment to education and understanding the “why.” I’ve always believed that effective care comes from knowledge paired with intention. Whether it’s learning the science behind skin, understanding ingredients, or continuing advanced training — including newer, more clinical programs — education has allowed me to serve clients with confidence and integrity. My advice is to stay curious. Invest in learning, ask questions, and seek mentors who encourage both skill and thoughtfulness.
Together, these three qualities — patience, discernment, and lifelong learning — have shaped not just how I work, but how I show up. They’ve taught me that sustainable success is built slowly, with care, clarity, and heart.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?

My ideal client is someone who values care over quick fixes and is willing to partner in their skin’s healing. They’re curious, open, and understand that healthy skin is built through consistency, education, and trust — not overnight solutions.
I work especially well with clients navigating acne, including teens and young adults, as well as those experiencing hormonal or stress-related skin changes. Ideal acne program clients are committed to following a structured plan, open to learning about their skin, and patient with the process, even when progress isn’t perfectly linear. Parents of teen clients who value education and long-term skin health are also a wonderful fit.
At its core, my ideal client appreciates the balance between clinical skin care and herbal wisdom — someone who trusts evidence-based protocols while also valuing gentle, plant-rooted support. When there’s mutual trust and commitment, the results extend beyond clearer skin to deeper confidence and understanding.
