Meet Amber Jenkins

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Amber Jenkins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Amber, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
How did I get here? Whew! Where to began, sheesh! I suffered from abandonment issues, and I still battle it a few moments, not many. It’s a work in progress, but I dated myself. I asked Spirit what did I need to do to love me, and Spirit communicated “Just get to know you”. I took myself more seriously. I courted myself and stopped putting the responsibility of my happiness and healing on others. It isn’t my friends responsibility to be around me 24/7 just so I can experience their happiness and not feel alone. It isn’t my lovers responsibility to do things for me to make me happy. I learned that when you give someone that power, and they decide to leave you’re left back unhappy. I wanted my joy to be MINE! I go eat lunch, dinner or whatever ALONE sometimes. Majority of the time I will get dressed and I will go sit at a nice restaurant alone, no phone in hand unless it’s an emergency, but I just enjoy my essence. I go walk downtown alone, I go shopping alone. I do a lot alone. I sit in silence a lot. Just to hear my thoughts, to feel myself. This has really been a beautiful experience and I LOVE MYSELF! Once I learned me, I was and am unstoppable. I saw that I could be vulnerable with me, I saw my wounds and I saw the root cause, Being in Hermit mode grants you the true vision because you do not have other energies around to cloud it.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a Spiritual Conduit. I am connected to The Creator and I operate in Spirit. I love being who I was chosen to be. I get to heal others and watch them become beautiful beings that make this realm a better place. While doing this I am also an Author and Writer, I love what I do. I am able to touch millions through my books. Through my blogs. It’s important to know that there is help that is non-judgmental, that is comfortable and that is synchronized with exactly what you need.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
There are a plethora but the top three for me would be Healing, Ownership and Trust. These were things I would have never thought was important but if the captain of the ship is not in good standing all the passengers are at risk of being harmed. I’d say watch what you read, listen to and watch. Changing these will change the dynamics of your life.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
Hurt me. I didn’t meet my real dad until I was 21, my mom always told me her husband was my real dad and I found out when I was 16 that everything was a lie. As I stated abandonment issues were an issue, I’m still healing them ya know, and we have gotten so far but fighting for me the way I do, is a result of no one else fighting for me as a kid. I go in beast mode about myself.
